Since we are only a meer hours away from the ISFL draft I am officially releasing my mock draft (also 1.5x media hell yeah). Took me a few days to do this Mock so some picks might not make sense since some FA's have signed while I've written this. So please take this with a grain of salt and enjoy!
Berlin Fire-Salamanders
1st Overall: Moe Skeeter Safety Portland Pythons
With the first pick of the S26 ISFL draft the Berlin Fire-Salamanders select the #1 Defensive prospect in the draft Safety Moe Skeeter. Skeeter is a safety that can do it all for Berlin like he did with Portland. Skeeter finished with 67 tackles this passed season while also accounting for 4 INTS 2 of which he took for 6 points. Berlin adds a player that can play traditional saftey or cover the slot as a NB.
New York Silverbacks
2nd Overall Pick: Ernest Lover DE London Royals
With the Second selection of the draft the Silverbacks select Ernest Lover DE out of London. Originally I had the silverbacks taking a RB here but with the recent signing of Captain Rogers New York will look to add some young guns to their DL. The Silverbacks have 1 DT (S17 old AF) and 2 DE's ( S18 and S19), adding some youth to this group is a big need for NY.
Baltimore Hawks
3rd Overall: Cobra Kai RB Dallas Birddogs
The #1 Overall prospect falls to 3rd overall and Baltimore gets to add a very good weapon to their offense. Kai ran 278 times for 1482 yards and 8 TD's for Dallas this past season. It's just too hard for Baltimore to pass up at the highest TPE player in the draft picking at 3rd.
Yellowknife Wraiths
4th Overall Pick: Derek Wildstar Safety Kansas City Coyotes
The Wraiths have a long way to go to build up their defense again and adding Wildstar is a step in the right direction. Wildstar is a safety who could also play corner for the wraiths which is their biggest need right now. Wildstar had 67 tackles this past season but was more of a shut down cover guy for the Coyotes.
New Orleans Second Line
5th Overall Pick: Dogwood Maple Safety Norfolk Seawolves
Dogwood Maple finds his new home in New Orleans after they take him 5th overall. It was only a matter of time for Maple to hear his name called. We've all seen the media and we've seen him around everywhere and he is a top prosprct all GM's have to love. I believe this pick is where things get interesting as you can see a team like the Liberty or a team in the back half of the draft trade and move up to snag Maple.
Philadelphia Liberty
6th overall Pick: Mr. Forty-Two RB Norfolk Seawolves
Theres no other team in the league who had a rougher offseason than the liberty have. With this pick they select their future offensive star in Mr.Forty-Two. Forty-Two lead the DSFL in rushing and was truly a workhorse RB carrying the ball over 100 times more than 2nd place did. It was a tough season in Norfolk but Forty-Two was a bright spot and the Liberty get their future RB.
Honolulu Hahalua
7th Overall Pick: Tugg Speedman WR London Royals
The Hahalua add some speed to their WR core with this pick. Speedman is the top WR in this class and it is a great grab by the Hahalua. Speedman grabbed 73 catches for 841 yards and 4 TD's this past season in London. Speedman is going to be a solid deep threat WR for Honolulu for a very long time.
Chicago Butchers
8th Overall Pick: Richard Littlewood OL Myrtle Beach Buccaneers
OL is literally the only thing i can potentially see chicago needing. Even still, they have 4 on the roster. With the founder of the fair rub club on the team, Littlewood will have some great mentors in Chicago and will help this Offense keep on trucking.
Arizona Outlaws
9th Overall Pick: Raphael Delacour WR Norfolk Seawolves
Delacour was the primary receiver in Norfolk who's offense was mainly a run first offense. However he was able to snag 58 catches for 656 yards. He has the size and strength to grab the 50/50 balls and could be a real steal for Arizona. There's a bright future ahead for Delacour
Sarasota Sailfish
10th Overall Pick: Leonard Taylor LB Myrtle Beach Buccaneers
This is another pick I can see a team trading for to move back into the 1st round. But for now there's 2 LB's who have fallen significantly and they are both really good LB's. I have Leonard Taylor going here just because of the GM's ties to Myrtle Beach and im sure they've kept tabs on Taylor. Taylor finished with 108 tackles last season for Myrtle Beach as well as forcing a fumble and having 1 INT.
Chicago Butchers
11th Overall Pick: BamBam Mcmullet LB Tijuana Luchadores
The 2nd of the falling LB's have gone. Just like the Sarasota pick i believe this one could be traded as well for a team in a rebuilding phase. McMullet has a solid rookie campaign in the DSFL with 97 tackles 2 sacks and 4 INTS. Chicago gets best player available here.
Orange County Otters
12th Overall Pick: Alexander Franklin OL Minnesota Grey Ducks
Let's think outside the box for this one... They have an offense starting the hit their peak and the Defense is in a really good spot. I can see OCO potentially move up to try and get Littlewood however if they stay at 12 I believe they'll grab Franklin here. All OCO's offense is missing is another hog up front to help keep Ramza safe and solidify the ground game.
Colorado Yeti
13th Overall Pick: Makato Otawara DE Minnesota Grey Ducks
I couldnt do a mock draft without having me go in the first round. But seriously, the lack of DL in this class is tough for some of these teams. Yeti reach here to grab a DE which they really need to help keep up their run. Otawara had 64 tackles including 9 for a loss and tallied 6 sacks.
San Jose Sabercats
14th Overall Pick: Mario Messi WR Portland Pythons
With the last pick of the 1st Round the Back to Back ultimus champions select WR Mario Messi from Portland. Messi had the best season out of the rookie WR finishing 2nd in the league with 886 yards on 88 catches. Avergaing 10 yards a catch, Messi quickly became the top option in Portland. Messi also lead the league with i receiving TD's. The Sabercats snag a top end talent late in the 1st round. Messi adds a new weapon to an already potent offense. This addition could help the cats make it 3 in a row.
Berlin Fire-Salamanders
1st Overall: Moe Skeeter Safety Portland Pythons
With the first pick of the S26 ISFL draft the Berlin Fire-Salamanders select the #1 Defensive prospect in the draft Safety Moe Skeeter.
