So I got bored and looked at Wolfie Bot https://isfl-bot.herokuapp.com/career-records and decided to see if any records could be broken by an active player. A few of the records like average yards per catch or passing percentage i will not look at for obvious reasons as those records only stick come retirement time
QB Records:
Passing Yards
Current Holder: Mike Boss Sr. 42,278 Yards
Challenger: Colby Jack 32,306 Yards
Mike Boss Sr. is one of the greatest players of all time, holding so many records. Colby Jack however has made it pretty clear that he has been one of the best QB's in the modern new sim era; while he has been averaging a bit under 5000 yards a season, meaning he could break this record in 2 seasons, There is a chance he will not make that mark, with him regressing hard next season, and with Jay Cue Jr. developing might lead to a less pass heavy attack. With Dustin Parmlee in the wings, he is fighting against time to break the legendary Boss' record
Record Breaking Likelyhood: C+
Passing Touchdowns:
Current Holder: Mike Boss Sr. 292 TDs
Challenger: Colby Jack 225 TDs
This record seems a bit harder then the yardage one as regression + Cue Jr. will likely lead to a change in how Yellowknife move in the redzone. While i think there is still a off chance Jack has enough in him for a few more good seasons i will be ranking this a bit lower
Record Breaking Likelyhood: C
Pass Completions
Current Holder: Borkus Maximus III 3427 Passes
Challenger: Monty Jack 2700 Passes
This record is pretty beatable with many QBs completing 400+ passes a season. However Monty likely will not be able to fight regression as much as his Twin Brother, so i doubt he will be able to keep up this pace to beat Maximus. I would not be surprised to see Colby or a younger QB breaking this record within the next 3/4 seasons/
Record Breaking Likelyhood: C-
RB Records:
Rushing Yards:
Current Holder: Sam Torenson 13,957 Yards
Challenger Tatsu Nakamura 10,969 Yards
This is a pretty hard record to break in any sense, with RBs no longer being as viable RB1 options at lower TPE, someone like Torenson record is likely secure. Nakamura, who was able to play in both the new and old sim very effectively could potentially break this record, however with a likely demotion to the RB2 spot due to harsher regression he will likely be a bit short.
Record Breaking Likelyhood: D
Rushing Touchdowns
Current Holder: Owen Taylor 123
Challenger: Tatsu Nakamura 121
This was one of the real inspirations for this media, with qWest making podcast about his race to 123, Nakamura will almost certainly break this record. This however is just like the last RB catigory where it will be unlikely for any RB to keep up the pace at a advanced age, but lucky for Tatsu, he only needs two more touchdowns to break this record
Record Breaking Likelyhood: A+
WR Records:
Receptions:
Current Holder: Paul DiMirio 1,110 Receptions
Challenger: William Lim 800 Receptions
Despite Regression catching up to him to the point where he likely will not be the main man in Colorado anymore, i still think he should likely challenge for this record. The Yeti WR3 is averaging about 100 catches a season, meaning that even a few season into deep regression he should be racking up the catches. However the question is will he have enough time to break the record.
Record Breaking Likelyhood: B-
Receiving Yards:
Current Holder: Trey Willie 14,421 Yards
Challenger: William Lim 12,417 Yards
While he might need 3+ seasons to break the reception mark, his yardage could potentially be broken in the next two seasons, with the Yeti averaging above 1000 yards per WR every season. Baring a early retirement, i feel like Lim should easily break this record if the Yeti continue their Yeeti ways
Record Breaking Likelyhood: B+
Receiving TD:
Current Holder: Trey Willie 118 TD
Challenger: William Lim 86 TD
Despite being a top recieving threat, it might take a little luck for Lim to break the TD record. With the Yeti #2 and #3 options failing to hit double digits TDs, it would take a lot of luck for Lim to really push his luck and break this record, it is still possible mathematically but i think this is the least likely record that Lim could break
Record Breaking Likelyhood: C
Defense:
Tackles:
Current Holder: Quenton Bode 1,441 Tackles
Challenger: Douglas Quaid 1,046 Tackles
This one is a interesting one too watch, as it is potentially possible, however it will likely require Quaid playing out the rest of his career to the max. This is a tough one to break as his tackles have declined over the seasons, but the chance is still there for him to break Bodes mark
Record Breaking Likelyhood: C+
Tackles For Loss:
Current Holder: Nero Alexander 141 TFL
Challenger: Immanuel Blackstone 111 TFL
Blackstone had a very hot start to his career with him winning muliple DEoTY awards, however as the year progressed his production seemed to have dipped significantly. With him averaging about 3 TFLs a season it will be impossible for him to break Nero Alexanders mark
Record Breaking Likelyhood: D
Sacks:
Current Holder: Dan Miller 132 Sacks
Challenger: Derred de Ville 101 Sacks
This is one of those records that is very breakable however, there is a chance de Ville is likely too old to keep up this rate, With Adam Schell and Bam Bam McMullet likely increaing their roles the next season, it would be surprising for de Ville to keep those sack numbers up to compete with Miller
Record Breaking Likelyhood: C-
PDs
Current Holder: Dermot Levelle 249 PD
Challenger: Rich Triplet 153 PD
With Jim Waters retiring, and Brandon Booker(157 PDs) and Andrew Witten (160 PDs) being hitting the end of their careers with still a significant margin from Dermot, i think Rich Triplet, with only a few less PDs then the two S22 CBs, is the closest one to breaking the record. He is three seasons younger then Witten and Booker, and has been averaging 30+ PD's a season, meaning if he keeps this pace, he could break the record in 3/4 seasons. This is a surprisingly a possible thing to do
Record Breaking Likelyhood; B-
Interceptions:
Current Holder: Dermot Lavelle 57 Ints
Challenger: Brandon Booker 29 Ints
This time ill give the older player the nod, but i just do not think this record can be broken, Dermot Sr. has over 10 more ints then the next highest Int player which is pretty insane and i have no idea how he managed this
Record Breaking Likely Hood: F
Defensive Touchdown
Current Holder: Dermot Lavelle 10 TD
Challenger: Brandon Booker 8 TD
Another high mark from Lavelle, this one is in shooting distance for Booker, however the random nature of Pick 6's make the his chances a big ?, he could get it next week or never get a pick 6 again in 4 seasons. This shows you the pure dominance of Lavelle that he was able to be a top of so many CB records
Defensive FF/FR
Both These Records are owned by current player in Dered de Ville and and Douglas Qual
