Hey everybody it's me Vulfzilla, aka KK Slider, running back for the Dallas Birddogs. Seeing as the ISFL draft is just around the corner, and the scouting has already started I think I'm going to once again write up my answers to the obvious and generic questions that the scouts are going to ask so that I can save us both some time. I hope this doesn't come across as disrespectful or like I don't take the game seriously. On the contrary I would rather spend most of my time working on getting more TPE and league money then to continue to answer the same questions word for word over and over again. After reading this, if you still have questions that I haven't answered I would absolutely love for you to ask them. I would hope that you would in fact. This is just my way of saving everybody sometime when it comes to the obvious ones that I know are going to be asked. So let's get started.
1.. How have you enjoyed your time and the DSFL?
So far I'm enjoying it, the Birddogs have been a fun team to be around and we're playing decently which has been really cool. It's been a little disheartening to have to split the backfield three ways as there's just not a lot of carries to go around and not a lot of momentum to be gained. But at the same time it seems to be working and of the three I seem to be getting the most carries so I really shouldn't have much to complain about. Everybody in the clubhouse is super cool and I look forward to hopefully winning a championship in Dallas either this season or next.
2. Why did you choose to be running back?
As I mentioned in my previous scouting cheat sheet, the reason I chose running back is pretty simple. With my last player I play defense and while I really enjoyed my time I thought it would be more fun to be more involved directly in the outcome of the game while playing on the offensive side of the ball. When I made my first player I had the intention of playing wide receiver but in order to get more playing time I switched early on to cornerback. So this time I really want to play offense and see where this career takes me. I know that for someone to draft me as a running back I'll have to be seen as someone who will be a big earner, possibly even bigger than with my first player, and I think that I'm ready to take that leap.
3. Are you willing to switch positions?
I'll be honest as I said a minute ago, I switched positions with my first player to try and be more team friendly and I don't know that I want to do that again. I hope that doesn't make me seem like I'm being selfish or like someone who isn't a team player, but I think if this is going to be something that last a real life year I want to do what I want to do so that I can stay engaged. I'm not 100% against the possibility of switching, but it would have to be the right position and for a really good reason. I just don't see that being the case. so I will say if you are going to take me just so you can try to convince me to switch positions it might be better to move on to someone else. But if you're looking for a running back either now or for a couple years down the road and you want someone who will be an awesome locker room presence and is willing to earn, then please take me as soon as you can.
4. How do you think you're going to earn?
With my last player, I started out really hot, and pretty quickly got my cornerback maxed out stats wise. Unfortunately I got a little bit bored of watching my guy play terrible defense every week and near the end of my career it became harder and harder to make sure I'm always staying up on the TPE. So unfortunately my career ended a little sooner than maybe it should have. But like I said before I think that's why I want to play on the offensive side of the ball because I think I will remain engaged throughout my career, and don't see myself giving up on building a regression proof vault of TPE. I don't currently have a job in the league as it's pretty hard to find a good one it seems, but if I can find one like a banker or something similar to what I do and the other leagues I will consider it. For now I'm content to pump out some longer media pieces and podcasts when I can. I really enjoyed making podcast with my New York teammates a couple of times and I look forward to hopefully doing that again with whatever team I end up on in the ISFL. I don't like to be without money, it makes me feel a little stressed about not being able to get my TPE, so I don't anticipate going broke and staying broke. If the need is there I will find a way to get the money.
5. You spent most of your career in Honolulu, won two championships, and seem to be very well connected there. Is that the only place you're looking to return?
I would love to return to Honolulu You're absolutely right that I really enjoyed my time there and really think that those guys are good at building a team that can win championships. I know they're in a rebuild and I do think that I could be a part of that rebuild going forward. With that being said I know they have some good running backs already and it might not be the right mix at this time. If that's the case I am 100% fine with it. I want to go where I can be in a successful team and help them on the offensive side of the ball. If that's in Honolulu great if it's not also great. I also really enjoyed my time in New York, and while I don't think they're looking for a running back either I would not turn down returning there as well. But I'm also open to new challenges and would be happy to go anywhere that thinks I would be a good fit and is willing to give me playing time.
6. Are you willing to split the backfield with another runningback?
At the end of the day it's all about waiting for me if splitting the backfield is the way that the team can win then I'm all for it. I'll be honest that splitting the backfield with two other running backs, both of whom I really like on a personal level, seems like a little much, but if it was just a two-man job, I would be totally fine with that. Especially in the early part of my career. I feel like as time goes on I will hopefully have maxed out several important attributes and traits and will count myself worthy as someone who can take the responsibility of a lead back. I would be lying if I said I didn't want to be someone who one day was considered for best running back or MVP awards. With this player I would love it if I could make it to the Hall of Fame someday so maybe down the line splitting all the carries 50/50 might not be the way that I want to play but for the time being I understand that I'm not going to just come in and own the backfield to start my career. Like I said I'm a team oriented player and I really like winning so I will do whatever it takes to get that done even if it means not having as many carries.
7. Is there anywhere you don't want to go?
No there really isn't I would be fine with anything.
8. Why do you think we should take you?
Well I think I've laid it out pretty clearly but if you take me you'll be getting a max earning running back who is a solid presence in the locker room. If you're not sure about the second part feel free to ask Icebear or Zayn about my time in their locker rooms, and I think they would let you know that I was a guy who was always very active during games and a lot of fun to be around. Unless they were trying to draft me for themselves and don't want you to draft them then they may not give you a straight answer.
I'm probably not somebody that's going to be able to help you with testing or anything like that as I don't have the game and once I get home from work don't have a lot of time to sit down at the computer and run sims, but I usually tend to take on all sorts of other responsibilities like Twitter or scouting or awards or things of that nature. I'm a good dude who will work hard for the team, and I feel like I'm generally nice to have around.
That's it for the basic questions again if you have any other questions I would really encourage you to reach out and ask them after you've read through this short response. I'm sorry if you view this as me not wanting to talk to you, that's not the case at all I just don't want to answer the same questions the same way over and over for what seems like the millionth time as I am in three sim leagues and have been scouted numerous times for different teams. I would really hope that you would like to get these questions out of the way so that you can ask the fun ones to really get to know me more thanks for taking the time to look at this if you did and if you didn't you probably won't draft me anyway.
