First and foremost I would like to thank the San Jose Sabecats organization for granting me a contract extension because God knows I didn't deserve it. To be blunt, the entirety of my rookie contract was abysmal and the team and our fans deserve better moving forward. At the end of my three seasons here in San Jose, I have only had one year of 80 percent on my field goal attempts. I am one of the most accurate kickers in the history of the college game and to see my stats in the ISFL be so poor is just so disheartening. It is clear that some things need to change moving forward so that I can perform at the level I desire.
Before the season I spent a month in a remote cabin with my good friend Gardner Minshew. We lived off the grid, hunted our own meat, chopped our own firewood, and survived on our own. You know some real manly stuff. I thought getting out a resetting in nature would fix all the kicking problems I had because I would be relaxed. Well turns out I don't know crap because none of that worked at all. So this offseason I won't be doing any of that stuff and will instead turn to a new friend to help guide me through my troubles. That friend is no other than the man, the myth, the legend himself: Aaron Rodgers.
Aaron has agreed to help me mellow out this offseason and be ready for anything that can come my way in the future. Aaron has told me he is taking me out to a "darkness retreat" this season and has just the right medicine to make sure I experience the darkness to its fullest. I've been told by many that these types of retreats are great for opening one's mind and really learning about yourself as a person. I am excited to get that bit of self-reflection and find out where everything has been going wrong for me in my kicking. I mean Aaron is basically the most successful QB of all time and one of the coolest dudes I know so what could possibly go wrong? See you all on the otherside.
Booter out y'all
