In news this week the marketing team of Wolverine Studios announced that Silverbacks breakout Wide Receiver Sean Robinson will be on the cover of Draft Day Sports Pro Football 2060. The once unrecognized studio recently overtook Madden as the top Simulation Football game after series of events lead to Madden losing it's copyright to Wolverine Studios when it was found that the last remaining Madden developer accidentally implemented a feature that would cause the game logic to always attempt a 4th down conversion while within field goal range at the end of the first half after spiking the ball on 3rd down.
Back in 2023 Wolverine Studios was questioned about this "feature" from users and had this to say:
"That's just how real football works we've definitely watched football."
Following scrutiny from their user base they doubled down on the statement and claimed the feature as intellectual property. This long distant event lead to the Studio winning the recent lawsuit against E.A. for rights to the Madden franchise. Wolverine Studios promptly made no changes to Madden's archaic code base, slapped their own label on the game, and will be releasing DDSPF 2060 this fall with Sean Robinson as the cover athlete.
