Posted in the Butchers LR but given the double media figured I'd share the love on the forums too! Just want to take this opportunity to thank some of our retiring Butchers legends and officially welcome our new call up rookies as they wrapped up their first irl week of ISFL action.
Jake Jefferson - RB - @thecanadiancanuck
Although a short career, Jefferson held down the fort on the Butchers offense. Jefferson adapted to what the offense needed, whether that be playing full time WR, flexing between RB and WR to keep JHM's legs fresh, or full time RB1 when the team needed. And as a result, while the stats don't seem to stand out, they still ended up in the top 10 of rushing attempts, yards, and touchdowns for the Butchers!
Austin Morley - WR - @soevil
Coming into the league at the same time as his partner, Joe Reed, Austin Morley had a roller coaster of a career. Early on, Morley dealt with up and down quarterback play, catching passes from the shell of Tron Carter and Kazimir Oles Jr. Then, when the Butchers finally landed their franchise QB, the Penguin decided that he loved throwing the ball to anyone but Morley (or eating dirt). But that isn't to say his career was all bad. He finished in the top 15 in both receptions and yards, and also has the claim to fame to the best kick off return season in the league, as the only one to eclipse 36 yards per return (minimum 3 returns). In addition, he holds the Butchers receptions and yards records by a wide margin, and just shy of first in touchdowns.

Joseph Reed - DT - @Reedy0rNot
Reed was the embodiment of being a team player. He kept his head down and just put in the work week after week and consistently produced results. A 3 time back-to-back-to-back DPOY simply doesn't happen overnight. Joe Reed was selected in the 3rd round of the S36 draft and quickly ascended the ranks on the defensive line. We all may have witnessed the GOAT of Butcher football play his final snap. In addition to the league records below, Joe Reed finished with the following in franchise records: 2nd in TFL, 3rd in Sacks, 1st in FF, 2nd in FR.

And now let's welcome the new folks!
Corey Trevor - RB - @DigDoug11
Coming in at 450+ TPE is Corey Trevor, last years DSFL rushing leader! Racking up 1750 yards on the ground and finding pay dirt 15 times in his career, Trevor was a force to be reckoned with. And although not his specialty, he added on another 541 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air. Trevor was a beacon of consistency but that didn't stop his from showing no mercy. Notable performances include an 80 yard 6.2 ypc in the Ultimini, 161 yard 6.7 ypc 1 TD performance to open the season, and 146 yards 1 TD a few weeks after that. Corey Trevor brings a nice and shiny Ultimini trophy with him to the Butchers as he looks to be a staple of the offense for years to come!
DSFL Career stats:
1x Ultimini Champ
28 Games
337 rushing attempts
1750 rushing yards
4.6 yards per rush
15 rushing touchdowns
107 first downs
49 receptions
541 receiving yards
2 receiving touchdowns
Dewey Greenbeans - S - @dcphil
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the all time leader in interceptions in the DSFL! Dewey went on an absolute tear picking off opposing QBs 7 times in each of his last two seasons. And while this stat is not officially tracked, I have reason to believe that Dewey is also the all time leader in turnovers forced at 32. One would question why DSFL teams ever put the ball near Dewey as this past season alone he turned the ball over 13 times. Notable performances include a 3 interception game, not once, but twice!
Career stats:
1x Ultimini Champ
S46 DSFL Defensive Player of the Year
S46 DSFL Defensive Performance of the Year
S45 First Team All Pro
All time leader in INT
All time leader in total turnovers
55 Games
215 Tackles
1 TFL
10 Forced fumbles
5 Fumble recoveries
2 Sacks
22 Interceptions
65 PDs
3 Defensive TDs
Neil Bonnet - TE - @MMAJAKE710
Coming up from Kansas City, Bonnet never got the splashy stats but was a reliable target for the Coyotes. Bonnet ended his DSFL career with 1200 yards on 119 receptions, 5 of those making it to the endzone. Where Neil really shined, however, is in the trenches. Neil amassed 65 pancakes with zero sacks allowed in his career, a truely remarkable feat! Notable performances include his 83 yard touchdown in the opening week as the Coyotes routed the Royals 62-14.
Career stats:
41 Games
119 Receptions
1200 Yards
10.1 Yards per catch
5 Touchdowns
41 First downs
65 Pancakes
0 Sacks Allowed
Ivan Ivanov - OL - @kmatt
Finally, we have our RB-turned-OL, Ivan Ivanov! Ever since he bulked up and took on the trenches, Ivanov has gotten over 60 pancakes each season, which is good for 8th all time in career pancakes! And while his success couldn't translate to the playoffs, he was still able to get multiple 9-pancake games. Next Ivan will bring his physicality to the windy city.
Career stats:
S45 First Team All Pro
S44 First Team All Pro
210 Pancakes
7 Sacks allowed
The Butchers now sit at a record of 3-1 and at the top of the NSFC, a spot no one predicted they would be at. With wins against last seasons Ultimus runner up Wraiths and playoff hopeful Crash, Chicago is defying expectations and have a shot at the playoffs for the first time since season 40. Corey Trevor has already had a 100+ yard game with 5.2 yards per run, Ivan Ivanov has yet to give up a sack, Neil Bonnet is showing off his talents with over 100 yards and his first career touchdown, and Dewey Greenbeans is bringing his physicality up from the DSFL with a sack and a forced fumble in his opening week of ISFL action. The future is bright for Chicago!
