With hype building for the season, combined with the fact that I haven't done any media in a LONG while, I figured I'd do a little preview of the S50 Grey Ducks roster!
QB: Cyrus MacDougall @g2019 (S51, Pocker Passer, 173 TPE) - The rookie quarterback enters the regular season with a strong start towards his 250 capped build, highlighted by 80 intelligence. This translating onto the field will be massive, as MacDougall will hope to cut down on the true rookie QB killer (interceptions) and help manage what could be a potent Minnesota offense.
RB: Duke Silverback @wizard_literal (S49, Receiving Back, 250 TPE) - Silverback will look to feature prominently in the Ducks's plans this season in both the running and passing game. With his receiving build, 86 speed, and surprising 70 strength, watch for him to get the ball early and often, even with Minnesota's loaded backfield.
Last season: 761 rushing yards, 6 TDs; 429 receiving yards, 5 TDs
RB: Federico Cinco @cinco de la tarde (S50, Power Back, 250 TPE) - A hands down RB1 on any other team, Cinco, like Silverback, will feature all over the place offensively and provide another outstanding option to help the Ducks move the ball down the field and punch it into the end zone. His 85 speed and 70 strength should help him do just that!
Last season: 572 rushing yards, 6 TDs; 57 receiving yards, 2 TDs
RB: Kool Kyle @Jaywe88 (S49, Speed Back, 185 TPE) - If you thought the RB room was stacked already, here's a third stud! Kyle will rely on his 86 speed to break off big plays as he spells Silverback and Cinco in the backfield. Don't be surprised to see him line up wide, either!
Last season: 298 rushing yards, 7 TDs; 32 receiving yards
WR: Benny The Jet @wildcatbandit (S49, Slot Receiver, 250 TPE) - The Jet will help lead the WR room for the Ducks, and he's more than capable of breaking off huge plays with his 88 speed and 70 hands. It will be critical for MacDougall to find him often if Minnesota is to have success through the air.
Last season: 1330 yards, 6 TDs
WR: Matt Turk @Matt Turk (S51, Slot Reciever, 118 TPE) - The rookie reciever (and offensive captain) will look to become a household name in Minnesota, and will be buoyed by a balanced build of 70 speed, 70 agility, and 70 hands. Minnesota will be hoping that the rapport he built with MacDougall during the Prospect Bowl can translate into DSFL success.
WR: Mason Roberts @Mason (S51, Slot Receiver, 50 TPE) - Another rookie receiver, Roberts will rely on his 68 hands and 69 agility to pick up tough yards in the short passing game.
TE: Blo Cage @ItsFrenchie (S50, Blocking TE, 195 TPE) - The big blocker is led by his 72 strength, but despite most attributes leaning towards blocking, is also a sneaky good short yardage/red zone target for MacDougall.
Last season: 344 receiving yards, 1 TD; 18 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed
OL: Honda Civic @unconfident (S50, Mauler, 250 TPE) - The WR turned OL leads a group of three human offensive linemen, putting the Minnesota offense in a luxurious position. 80 strength and 73 pass blocking should lead to a big number of pancakes and great protection.
OL: Traffic Cone @SoySavant (S50, Mauler, 250 TPE) - Another capped lineman for the Ducks, Cone enters his second season in baby blue and is led by his 82 strength and 72 pass blocking in what should be a big cake season.
Last season: 53 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed
OL: Okuyasa Nijimura @KnowledgeBoy (S50, Athletic Lineman, 144 TPE) - Likely lining up at guard, Nijimura looks to prove himself the unsung hero amongst the OL, using his 82 strength to hold off opposing defensive linemen.
Last season: 48 pancakes, 1 sack allowed
DL: Ghost Panda @juniped (S51, Nose Tackle, 159 TPE) - With 71 tackling and 71 strength, Panda will aim to clog up the middle and stuff the run. He should also get to the quarterback routinely, if for no other reason than to look at their feet.
DL: Cornelius McManama @oozeysludge (S51, All-Purpose DT, 57 TPE) - The defensive captain of the team, McManama will rely on his 70 tackling to wrap up opponents and shut down plays at the line of scrimmage.
LB: Joe Blaze @jlyles7 (S49, Versatile Linebacker, 250 TPE) - The heart and soul of the defense, Blaze has shown himself to be an impact player in the league, and will rely on his 85 speed to shut things down.
Last season: 129 tackles, 12 TFLs, 3 FF, 1 FR, 11 sacks
LB: Abstract Geometry @Murtsi (S51, Versatile Linebacker, 159 TPE) - Utilizing a balanced build, Geometry is looking to be a menace at LB for the Ducks, with 75 strength, 75 tackling, and 75 speed.
CB: Greg Hirsch @Fordhammer (S48, Cover Corner, 250 TPE) - The long time signal caller switches to the defensive backfield and will feature as the team's top DB. His 90 speed should prevent opposing receivers from gaining seperation and allow him to keep the game in front of him.
CB: SuperNintendo Chalmers @Smurph (S50, Cover Corner, 200 TPE) - At CB2, Chalmers will hope his 82 speed will help him line up well against opposing receivers.
Last season: 44 tackles, 11 PDs
CB: Dak Pikkins Summers @Tknorland1 (S51, Cover Corner, 50 TPE) - With a strong start at 74 speed, Minnesota will hope that Summers continues to develop to provide great coverage at CB or S for them.
