Hello all, after a week or so off for sickness and an accidently delegated post, the kdr network will try and get back on track will predicting and tracking who might be up for the end of year POTY awards. Since we are now over half way through the seasons there is more meat on the bones to see exactly what is happening. First up in this report is the DSFL.
OROTY
Cyrus MacDougall - QB :greyducks: One of three ® QBs in the DSFL, the other two sharing time at TIJ. Cyrus was off to a hot start and is leading one of the top ranked offensive units in the league. Has 14 TDs, but also 7 INTs, will have to watch the turnovers if they want to compete for the trophy.
Quincy Robinson- RB - :luchadores: taking the league by storm, Robinson is currently second in the league in Att, Yds and TDs and is leading TIJ to the best rushing attack in their division, but only 4th overall. He also has over 100 yards receiving and has chipped in another TD.
Lasso Jones - RB - :birddogs: Lasso started a little slow, but has picked up speed going into the middle part of the schedule. They are now tied for second overall in the league (and first out of rookies) with 7 TDs. They are on pace for about 900 yards. And are pacing the bird dogs to the best record in the league.
Matt Turk - WR - :greyducks: Turk is forming a nice little triumvirate with fellow rookie McDougall and The Jet in leading Minn to the top of their division. He leads all rookies in yards receiving and is second in both catches and touchdowns.
Jeff Land Shark - WR - :coyotes: Land Shark is leading the way for rookies with 45 catches and is also third in both yards and TDs.
Mike Ross - OL - :royals: Mike Ross is leading the way for the entire league in pancakes and has yet to let up a sack. While London is one of the worst teams in the league, they still have the #1 rated passing game an Ross is a reason they have so much time to make the passes count.
DROTY
Roy Rivers - LB - :buccaneers: Rivers came into the league as a S, but his change to LB has not impacted his ability to cover from sideline to sideline. Roy paces all rookies with 59 tackles. He also has 6 sacks again tops among rookies and 6 TFLs 3rd among rookies. He is leading a defense #1 in points and against the run.
Xander Le Roux - CB - :birddogs: second behind Rivers with 52 tackles, Le Roux is leading all of the league with 17 PD. He is second in INTs at 3 and has also chipped in 2 FF and 1 FR. Dallas is the top team in the league and #1 defense both in yardage and against the pass.
Abstract Geometry - LB - :greyducks: Abstract is having a big impact and adding up the numbers in the league. With 48 tackles, 7 TFL, 6 sacks and 1 TD Abstract is near the top in all categories among rookies and in the league overall.
Kai Ware - CB - :luchadores: another rookie making their mark by tying for the league mark with 4 INTs. They are also second with 15 PDs and has a TD as well and has racked up 45 tackles
Senior Seau - LB - :seawolves: leading the rookie class with Seau also has 49 tackles and 5
OPOTY
Dexter Morgan - QB - :royals: London is struggling big time, but it is not because of the QB or offense. Morgan leads the league in almost every stat that matters to a QB: Yards(2544), 2nd in Comp% (61.1), TDs (20) and Rating (108.6). If their run game and Defense can turn it around London can show some Pride again.
Pasta Rockmann - QB - :pythons: The MVP of last year Ultimini is off to a solid start this year. While his numbers aren't earth shattering, he does lead in Comp% at 61.4 and is second in overall QB rating at 101.5
Confurius DeThwilson - QB - :buccaneers: The third QB in contention is also #3 in QB rating at 101.1 and while he is #1 in TDs at 18 he has thrown a microscopic 2 INTs. And having your team in 2nd place in your division with those numbers will always get you in the conversation.
JamesIsRunning Wilder - RB - :pythons: Wilder list his two other RB mates from last years leading rushing team, one to the ISFL and one to TE, but he is still pacing the #1 rushing attack in the league. Leading with 755 yards which is almost 108 yds/game he has also converted 7 TD after a slow start getting into the endzone.
Dalinar Summers - RB - :royals: Leading the league with 8 TDs Dalinar is a little off the pace in rushing yards, but he is #2 RB in receiving at 155 yds and another 2 TDs. He will look to turn it up a little in the second half.
Quincy Robinson- RB - :luchadores: our first rookie to also make it into th main chase. But when you are second in yards and TDs it is hard to keep you out.
Sweet Sweet Ganjasmoke - WR - :seawolves: again when you are leading in all of the categories that count for your position, you will get mentioned in POTY contention. And Ganjasmoke leads in catches (57), yeards (915) and TDs (9).
Darius Fasttrack - WR - :birddogs: Darius is getting a slight edge over Joe Cool because of the ability to help lead the #1 team in the league. He is third in yards receiving and tied for the second most TDs with 8.
DPOTY
Joe Blaze - LB - :greyducks: Joe is Blazing a trail through the DSFL leading in tackles (63 and TFL(9) as well as 6 sacks, 2 FF and 2 FR in addition to 3 PD and an INT. That is a full statsheet for a LB.
David Corrigan - CB - :buccaneers: tied for the lead with 17 PD and 4 INTs Corrigan also has 50 tackles from his corner position.
Meguru Bachira - SS - :pythons: 13 PDs, 3 INTs and a sack to go along with 48 tackles are good numbers. And being a cornerstone of a top two defense gets you in the door of the POTY conversations.
Along with these three we have three Rookies making such a splash this year that they are also in the running for DPOTY, you can read about them in the DROTY section
Roy Rivers - LB - :buccaneers:
Xander Le Roux - CB - :birddogs:
Abstract Geometry - LB - :greyducks:
And that brings a close to the Chase for the Case DSFL 50.1 edition. We will switch to the ISFL second installment next.
