I made some Sankey Diagrams to visualize each NSFL team's budgets, so we can see how much each team is spending in different areas and how budgets are being used.
Disclaimers and Method: There's some complexities with categorizing some stuff, and different teams categorize things differently in their budgets (especially when one team is covering the cap of a player on a different team). Instead of trying to figure all that out I just went by what was on the team's budget sheet. So if anything looks like a discrepancy it's just because teams budget things differently. Or maybe I made a mistake. That's possible too.
I used SankeyMatic to make these.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] NOLA [/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] HAWKS [/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] YETI [/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] OUTLAWS [/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] OTTERS [/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] LIBERTY [/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] WRAITHS [/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] SABERCATS [/div]
Quick and dirty notes and observations
~The Otters are spending the most on their offense at 52.5m, though the Hawks aren't too far behind at 51m (though the Hawks received 11m more cap space via trades). The Sabercats are spending the least at 31m.
~The Wraiths are spending the most on their defense at 37.5m. The Otters are spending the least at 21.5m.
~The Sabercats are the only team in the league where their DL is the highest paid position group on defense. In fact, their DL is paid more than any other position group on their team at 17m.
~The Otters have the highest-paid WR group in the league at 21m, and is the only team in the league where their OL isn't the highest paid group on their offense.
~Comparatively, the Yeti have by far the lowest paid WR group, with a total of 4.5m being spent on WRs
*If you want to compare these to last seasons then too bad I forgot to do them last season. But here are the S6 ones
