I think once the season end Pizzaman will be doing a lot of thinking about real estate. Pizzaman was traded shortly after week 1 and he never had the chance to setup a headquarters in his new home of Philadelphia. Since he is on the road half the time during the season he has a rental property in South Jersey at the moment but after the season ends he'll need to setup a proper home for him and his family. He really doesn't like south jersey but he got a great deal on the rental pad and has alot of wealthy neighbors so its a very secluded neighborhood. Upon talking with his personal assistant the main areas he will be looking for a permanent home is Rittenhouse square (penthouse), very close to the practice facility/stadium. The main line, which has a little more larger homes and more opportunity for customization but is further from the facilities, or he can opt for Delaware which is quite a bit further away but presents a tax haven and the options are limitless.
Since I technically have 2 players active this season, I’ll opt to cover both of their offseason ventures. First, let’s start with the soon to be retired Brandon Prince. After spending the entirety of his 9 season career with the Silverbacks, Prince will retire with over 5000 rushing yards, and over 1000 receiving yards. For the first time in a long time, he’ll be spending the offseason on the couch, not having to worry about football in the slightest. Freshly minted Minnesota Grey Ducks linebacker Donte Darius will have a much different offseason. Darius has recently been picked up from the waiver wire by Minnesota, and though his time with the team will be brief, he hopes to make an immediate impact. Following the season’s conclusion, Darius will be subject to the rigorous scouting and combine process, answering to every GM, coach, and team in the league. Following that, he will be selected in the DSFL draft, where he will find a more permanent home.
Fred Edison, being the beast he is, tries to be the best he can be. He'll will be visiting his hometown during the offseason to acknowledge how much better he is than everyone else living in Milwaukee. Fred plans on establishing more endorsement deals, his goal is to replace solid gold 1:4 scale jet with a platinum, diamond encrusted 1:2 scale jet. He's already reached out to several sponsors like Toucan Sam, and Tony The Tiger, he has yet to receive a response from the fictional characters. Also on his agenda: signing a new contract, I think. I'm a pretty terrible agent but if I remember correctly, that means Fred's contract is set to expire this offseason. Where will he sign? Probably the Denver Nuggets, HA yeah right! As for hobbies, Fred Edison will enjoy fishing in nature preserves and hunting at the local zoo, normal stuff. Maybe he'll use some PEDs, he doesn't need em, but God does he love em.
As the off-season approaches, current(but kind of former) Birddog, Bridge Burner, will be seeking the services of either a qualified psychologist or psychiatrist. Why you ask? Well it seems obvious to the majority of the ISFL that he needs significant help with interpersonal relationships, trust and his pessimism issues, all of which have plagued his player Agent since his return to the ISFL.
With a name like Bridge Burner, it's glaringly obvious that he has severed several links to ISFL teams, and now his current DSFL franchise can be included in the list of teams that may have learned their lesson and scratched his name of potential draft boards. But back to the offseason activity; mental health improvement at all costs. If he is to stick in this league, he will need to show teams that he is actually capable of maintaining relationships and a positive attitude in the team locker room. It sounds simple enough, but with a checkered history in this league, sometimes the simple things become incredibly complicated.
Since Gucci Gurley just got claimed off of waivers by the Luchadores, he hasn't been able to check out Tijuana as he got here and immediately got to work. So, checking out the city is definitely on the bucket list. Also on the list is continuing the grind. Off season grind season, right? We gotta make sure I'm ready for the DSFL draft and to take over the league. Of course, we're gonna get in touch with Tijuana Luchadore and Arizona Outlaw's legend, CMC's Burner. He will give the way to be the Tijuana army knife and push me to go even further. Gotta one up him in every way! Gucci Gurley wants to become one of the best DSFL/ISFL players of all time, but also does want to enjoy the off-season, especially with the warm weather in Tijuana. But that's the off-season, we gotta a playoff stretch to make and titles to win! Let's go!
Just like my first season I like to take the time to go home and visit my family in the offseason, my first week off I like to fly home to Canada and see all my favorite places! I visit my old high-school, I go to all my favorite restaurants, and of course I go and watch a Canadian football game with my family. I try and squeeze in about as much as I possibly can all within that week and then it's back to business! Luckily for me when I get called up to play in New York that will cut my travel distance down and I can take some more off time to visit home!
Once I arrive back in the practice facility I'm one hundred and ten percent in the zone, we're working on everything that was a weakness for us during the offseason! And thats how I plan on spending my offseason.
As usual, Jay Cue Jr. will vanish from the face of the earth as soon as his season ends. After some grueling seasons helping the Arizona Outlaws get to the playoffs and then lose, we can say that it takes a toll on his health, so as soon as the clock gets down to zero on the 4th quarter of the last game, he is out of the stadium. He goes to a private air strip in an unknown location, where he flies with his family to some island in the middle of the pacific to just recharge his batteries.
Obviously his first few hours there are spent crying due to the playoff loss, but what better way to get over that disappointment with some gin and tonics and a lot of great food? Mainly the drinks yeah, but he needs to eat as well, so that the drinks do not make him dizzier than it needs.
