McDripsen loves butterflies! It reminds him of when he was a child, running around, chasing butterflies, then of course capturing them and donating them to the local university for research. It was the path shown to him, not unlike how the butterflies would always seem to lead him down a path of introspection. Is that what the butterfly effect actually is? Of course, if his path was to stay at Johns Hopkins and teach, certainly the butterflies would have shown him that by now? Or is the butterfly effect something completely different? The evolution of a small bug into a cocoon into a butterfly, or is it when you are making a croquet madame? Because to do that you would need to fly some delicious butter in from France, effecting it in an unknown way? What truly is the effect on butter, if you make it fly? Only Thor will ever know.
I think Blacksmith Andre's career would have been quite different if he would have stayed at Offensive Lineman. While he switched to Cornerback after a few seasons at Offensive Line and has been making a name for himself, albeit not a great one, staying at Offensive Line would have probably done wonders for his plans. He would still be making roughly the same amount of money that he makes now, but he would easily be leading the San Jose Line into dominance, and on top of that, he would have been getting a lot of recognition for his work in the trenches. He easily would have been one of the top linemen for multiple years running, as he was one of the top linemen after his rookie season and he would have looked to build on that building block so to speak to continue to strive for greatness that way. Instead, the team needed more secondary assistance and Andre lost the weight and switched. What could have been...

The tipping point of Carter Goad's career was when Baltimore traded up two spots with Cape Town to draft Goad in the S44 ISFL draft. Still playing OL at the time, the very next pick of the ISFL draft was an OL in Triceracop. So the way I see it, three other different things could have happened:
1) Cape Town keeps the pick and picks my player. Of course, this would be entirely different story for my player. Cape Town hadn't really asked me about switching positions and I could still be playing OL for the Cape Town Crash. This would mean Goad would be paving the way for the top running attack in the ISFL this season. 2) Cape Town keeps the pick but passes on Goad. With Chicago looking for an offensive linemen, maybe they would have drafted Goad. This would again put my player on a different team and would potentially be the left tackle for Chicago. Interesting thought. 3) Baltimore doesn't trade up but still drafts Carter Goad at pick 14. Probably still end up on the defensive side of the ball but now we don't have Joe Bazooka on our team! All in all, Goad would probably still be playing OL if he didn't get drafted by Baltimore! DSFL S43 Draft - Round 4 Pick 30

Joey Battle has had a fun career so far, but he is still far from being a contributor in Chicago. Now if we were to do a hypothetical and see if something in time would have helped, it would be an interesting exercise. Joey Battle started off hot for the Dallas Birddogs and easily maxed before going IA for 2 seasons. For the team like Chicago to have drafted Joey Battle this early, it was a big let down as he hasn't lived up to his billing and is now currently a situational linebacker playing clean up minutes for the team. He has 1 INT, 1 Sack and about 6 Tackles as the team has gone on a losing slump. Now would he have changed if he wasn't part of Dallas? Would he have changed if he wasn't drafted by Chicago? Unfortunately all signs point to no as he needed extra time in the minors to figure himself out. Had he been pulled up quicker it would have made him out longer and thus a bigger bust.

Walrus Jones had many turning points in his life and career, but most of those happened early on. Once he set his sights on being the best offensive lineman he could be, he was laser focused and did everything he could to succeed. Luckily (or maybe unluckily) he’s stuck to his primary goal and stubbornly never strayed from his goal.
But early on in his career, that was all a different story. In college, he wasn’t even on the football team his first two years, he was studying to become a taxidermist. If he skipped out on football entirely, would he still be successful? Absolutely, he’d be the best taxidermist in Alachua county, known from miles away as the guy who does great poses of alligators and giant lizards. When he was being scouted for the ISFL many teams asked if he’d be willing to swap positions, and he gave most of those ideas the stiff arm. But it is interesting to think if he’d gone all in on being a defensive lineman instead, clogging up the hole instead of protecting the runner. I guess we’ll never know. Code: 187 words
Akaki Akayre getting drafted to a different team was an very possible. The third round pick he was chosen with was traded to Arizona Outlaws from Honolulu Hahalua in season 36 draft. As clearly Honolulu wasn't interested in drafting him (scouting went bad) they decided to trade the pick. And aside from Outlaws another buyer were New Orleans Second Line. That's why the pick price ended up so high - a first rounder in next draft for last pick of the third round. NOLA wasn't ready to pay so much.
So what if Akayre ends up in New Orleans? Well, it's probably not enough to make NOLA a contender, so he probably ends up without winning his four rings. As for personal stats, he'll be best linebacker on NOLA for long time, so he definitely racks up some, maybe even enough to compete for personal awards that he got on Arizona. Or maybe Akayre lives in free agency or some trade when NOLA still starts the tank and go to another team, so possibilities are endless, but anyway not so good for him as getting drafted to one of the best all time teams
There are a number of turning points in Frank Dux's career but lets stick with his time in the International Simulation Football League. I think the first turning point is getting drafted by the Chicago Butchers. I think this could've worked out in another life if I had been more patient but ultimately it felt like it wasn't going to contribute towards my Hall of Fame hopes (jury is still out to be honest) but if I had gone somewhere else who knows where I would have ended up and what that situation would have been like. The second turning point is the trade to the New York Silverbacks. I really don't know if my career would have been as successful to this point if I hadn't been traded. I'm not saying it couldn't have been but with New York I've really been able to succeed and I've won two offensive player of the year awards for a reason.
