Oh boy I hat losing, some would say that my player Krusty Krab pizza hates to lose more than he loves to win, and he really loves to win. Well after a loss they are usually pretty quiet on the ride home. That couple hours after a loss is pretty simple, just self try to let it go and get a good nights rest. But the next day you can guarantee it’s an early morning. Krusty Krab pizza starts his morning with a breakfast Krusty Krab pizza and goes straight into the film room to find out what happened in the game and why it happened and how it all happened. After that he gets some work done in the gym and training field to work on whatever it is he saw in the film that looked like he could use some improvement on. Thats pretty much what he does after a loss, tries to get better
Willie Swaggert doesn't handle losses well. And honestly, he's probably the worst guy to be around during a loss. Swaggert immediately starts screaming at everyone and blaming them for the loss. "YOU GUYS LET ME DOWN TODAY! I CAME TO PLAY AND YOU BUMS CAME TO LOSE, GRAAAAAAAAAAAH!" And then he starts kicking everything in sight and knocking over trash cans. Usually a player would get in a lot of trouble for this, but Swaggert has a history of being loud and brash but not actually doing anything. Not that he CAN"T do anything, but that his actions are a way to set an example for all to see.
Now what REALLY motivates Swaggert after a loss though, is running over to the opposing team's bus and egging it while telling them to go back home. He actually does this when the team wins as well, but he uses an extra carton of eggs in losses so that way he can really get his emotions out.
Not one for talking, it's safe to say that you won't be seeing Emile standing in front of the team and delivering a stirring or motivational talk. Instead, Emile prefers to lead by example. Whether it's film study, learning playbooks or training out on the practice field, Emile takes pride in ensuring whatever the activity or drill, he puts in 100%. When coming off a tough loss a pretty poor stretch of results, whether it be personal or team, Emile will be in early and out late. Action speak louder than words and that's certainly the approach taken by Emile knowing that pep talks aren't his forte. There's always going to be things out of your control but in saying that your approach to training and how you conduct yourself is something firmly in your hands. People say that preparation is key, so win, lose or draw it's important to keep the standards high and be a benchmark for other players, especially so as a player with years of experience under their belt.
Dawelle Wevis is a big believer in leading by example and while he is not the most vocal player in the world, he does have some leadership qualities about him and a very stoic demeanor. After a tough loss, it is easy for some to hang their head but that is just not who Wevis is. Sure, he might get frustrated if he has a rough game or contributes in the loss but usually it is shake it off and right back at it next play or next game. As a corner, you need to have that mindset because you have to face the facts, you will get beat sometimes. The opposing receivers are very good and you can be the best in the world and still give up some catches or even big plays. So after a rough game or outing, Wevis works his behind off to be better next game. He watches film, practices hard and has the same calm, cheerful, and friendly demeanor as if no loss ever happened. It can help just watching him to just learn to be a true professional.

After being down and out for a lot of my career I can give a pretty damn good speak after a loss. Depending on the situation just a solid talk after the game can go miles. We worked hard, had our chances, but next time we will get them. Other times it is good to just get everyone together at the bar to let off some steam, maybe even start a bar fight. Everyone can knock back some drinks and have a good time and relax for a little bit. Sometimes you can be too tense and we all need to just loosen up. If all else fails, I go to the super deep discussion in the team meeting. We can talk about our fears and other things that ail us. It is good to put everything out there and be honest with ourselves about things we are scared of. That way we can work together to overcome it.
