Julian Rose is certainly one of the most unique players in the DSFL, he colors his hair, is eccentric on the field and has a weird style of playing football that can only be described as “Receiver Back”. However none of this is possible without the Purdue Boilermakers football program. Firstly Julian is was a big fish in a small pond. San Juan isn’t exactly known for its football players as American football is the less popular football in Puerto Rico. Most of the big powerhouse schools in the US were chasing the best of the best from the mainland United States. Purdue certainly had talented players but they were not nearly on par with the best schools in the nation and because of the wide open opportunity Julian was able to do a bunch of different things for the Boilermakers allowing him to show his full talent at Running Back and Wide Receiver. At a big name school like Georgia or Alabama he most likely would’ve been buried in the depth chart as a gadget player thus limiting his ability to display his talent which may have effected his stock that DSFL teams would see.
I sometimes wonder what might have happened if I'd not given up on my dream of being a blocking Tight End in the ISFL. I imagine a future in which I go to a run heavy team instead of the Yeeti. Aside from all the nonsense about playing offense instead of defense, I suspect I'd be spending quite a bit of time in the trenches. I would be best friends with the OL and might even spend time in their position meetings instead of in the tight end or pass catchers huddles. Maybe we'd all get golf carts as gifts from those we protect and go karting around the practice fields, playing irl mario kart together. I'm sure I could learn to throw a mean turtle shell. But with the blocking focus, I'd like to think I'd be feasting on pancakes, maybe even drowning in them. Cover me in butter and syrup and let me get into the pile! I'd be a pancake KING.
Even amongst the almost infinite possibilities of the multi-verse, there are some changes that would never have happened. Mandrews McHollywood was always destined to be a wide receiver from conception, and therefor even the watcher would not find a scenario where he played at halfback or linebacker. There are other possibilities completely out of my or his control that could have gone very differently however.
Mandrews fell to the 3rd round of his class and was therefore available as a steal to Zayn’s Silverbacks but what if another team had seen his value for what it was and grabbed him earlier? Colorado was likely off the table but Austin and Honolulu both grabbed receivers in the class, so Mandrews could very well have been in play. Both of those teams have since won championships in the time Mandrews has been in the league, and although New York has made one themselves, they lost it to Baltimore.
South West passion is and always will be H20 with football being second. South was actually on his way to apply for his alma mater (University of Washington) as the water boy before getting a call from Norfolk Seawolves after the draft.
South would still be waking up before dawn to prepare for game day but in a different way. South would ensure that each athlete stays hydrated with the purest water by applying what he knows and learn from past experience. After years or serving as the head water boy, he would move on to teaching the next generation on what is the better option (not Gatorade) and why. South would later find the love of his life through his public blogs ranting against sport drinks and how water is superior. South would spend the rest of his life visiting local high school sports and complaining about their distribution of water.
Jonathan.
What to be said. The man hails from Faerun, and spends most of his normal time as a cleric healing and protecting others, and spending time with his friends. As a cleric of Lathander, he often indulges in studies of the arcane and spiritual, but in this moment, some choices brought him to this plane, to play football. For one, he is an impulsive person, and does not always think once or twice before charging through an open portal. If there is a way forward, he intends to take it, and if there is a football he is destined to catch, he shall catch it. For another, he has struggled to find a connection in this plane when it comes to being a wide receiver, missing more passes than he has been able to land, thus far. However, with the speed he exerts, his purpose as a tempest cleric transfers over incredibly well to the need for lightning fast reflexes and speed. There will not be a field that will not crackle with electricity once he has stepped off it. It's just a matter of time before he does something profoundly crazy and shocks everyone. Even me. Raphael will see you now.

This should be a good one! I think the easiest turning point to look at with Passarelli's career right now would be the decision to swap to WR instead of staying at TE or swapping to LB. I think if Passarelli had stayed at TE, they would've been drafted much lower, and probably wouldn't have ended up on New Orleans. Definitely think it would've been late in the first round or late in the second for sure, and to add to that, I don't know if Passarelli would've come up to the ISFL after just one season. They may have stayed down in the DSFL for a little bit longer to earn some more TPE before moving up to the big leagues. I think the wild proposition to consider is if Passarelli had swapped to LB instead of WR, and not only how that would've changed Passarelli's career, but how that may have changed the path the Second Line have taken to get where they are now. I think NOLA goes more offense heavy in the following drafts, and the defense takes a different shape.
Disclaimer: If Princess Donut talks, its in caps lock. I apologize for any offense taken with this.
