Nakiri Ayame rarely speaks with the press and prefers to avoid speaking in public. During her introductory press conference with the Cape Town Crash, she got asked a baffling question that messed with her. She was asked, "Why are Japanese players allowed to be in the league?". Ayame was offended by this comment and asked a retaliatory question, as she said, "Why are you allowed to have press credentials, you xenophobic idiot?". This resulted in Ayame taking out her two katanas, and the person who asked the question wet their pants and ran out the door screaming like a child. Ayame said, "Please do not speak about anything xenophobic; you will be removed from the press conference immediately." Because of this incident, Ayame now requires extra security by her side at all times to avoid violent attacks from either the press or Ayame herself. An ancient Japanese proverb said, "One doesn't mess with an Oni." (155 words)
When I first started going into the DSFL, I had a reporter ask me if I really thought I would be able to compete at the next level. They seemed to think that I was just a random scrub from college, and they they thought that despite my elite stats I was actually going to suck. They were super condescending and insulting and demeaning and I really can't wait to prove them wrong. I'm not going to drag their name into this because I don't think it's necessary to stoop to that level, but I am going to think about them when I put up record numbers.
I know I'm going to take this league by storm after being the highest drafted WR in the draft, and nobody is going to stop me going forward. I've hit the ground running, and I'm going to prove all of the doubters so wrong, they're going to wish they had never even thought of insulting my name.
Oliver Tolliver was a second round pick in the Season 40 DSFL Draft, after a less than stellar performance as a waiver pickup for the Portland Pythons in Season 39. The young wide receiver appeared in three games for the Tay Swizzle North division team, and caught just three passes for 28 yards and one first down. Ahead of his debut for his new team, the Bondi Beach Buccaneers, Tolliver was asked about his performance the previous season and if he felt that he would've been drafted higher if he didn't play at all. The reporter pointed out that the Buccaneers receiver had 6 drops for the Pythons, more than twice the number of balls he actually caught. Tolliver did not rise to it, however, stating that the experience of playing against top DSFL corners in practice and on the field was crucial in him developing his game and that he would be a much better player for it, despite his struggles last season. Tolliver emphasised that draft position does not matter, and what really matters is on-field performance for the rookie in S40. (184 words)

Transcript from DSFL Pre-Draft Coverage:
Reporter: Billy, you were a monster coming out of college and are one of the top Defensive Tackle prospects for this year’s DSFL Draft. Billy: Thank you very kindly, sir. Reporter: With that being said, do you feel you let your teammates down? Billy: … I don’t follow? Reporter: Well the Centurions had a chance to win the Prospect Bowl and came up short. Surely you feel your lack of sacks, impact plays, and especially your numerous roughing the passer penalties, are part of the reason your team lost? Couldn’t you have played better to help your team? Billy: *long silence, followed by a deep sigh* Well sir you are right. I did not have a ton of stats. In fact, the penalties against me greatly hurt the team in our first loss. However, this is a TEAM game, especially on the defensive side of the ball- Reporter: Even as a team game you have been known to win games for your team in college so that’s not- Billy: -excuse me, I let you ask your question, please let me finish my answer. Reporter: I’m not asking for your view on the team effort I’m asking- Billy: -and I am answering your question with MY answer. As a defense, we had a game plan to follow, each and every game, which everyone executed so well we were one of the top defenses in almost all categories in the Prospect Bowl. Sure, I coulda done my own thing and tried to pad my stats, but if I didn’t fulfill MY ROLE like everyone else was, if I didn’t buy into what we were doing like everyone else was, we couldn’t have been that dominant. So please sir, ask me again, what’s your question? Reporter: Nothing more from me, thank you. Leonardo Da Pinchi S48: Roster Page | Most Recent Update | Wiki Billy Jor-El S41: Roster Page | Wiki
Yesterday a reporter asked me "Webb you've switched from Defensive end to Linebacker, were you not able to cut it in the league as a defensive lineman?" And I really wanted to go zero to a hundred real quick but I really want to not only play this season but I enjoy the money that I make and I don't want to lose some of it for some low-life reporter, so unfortunately I had to respond very nicely with "You know I'm not the stud at defensive end that I used to be in highschool and university, it's a quicker and tougher game here in the ISFL so I thought maybe dropping back into coverage occasionally would give me an upper edge against some of the offensive linemen in the league and I gotta say last season I definitely don't think I disappointed, and you know last season I was just getting used to things I've never played linebacker before but now that I got that hang of things and I really know what I'm doing, I'm looking forward to a playoff spot this season"
