As a veteran superstar of the ISFL, Nakamura has made sure to diversify and expand other sources of revenue on the merit of his talents and use of his brand and companies. For a long time now, those other sources of revenue have far surpassed the relatively limited amount of money that can be gained on an ISFL contract, especially for a running back and even more especially for an aging back that's now limited to a backup role. For the last few seasons, in fact, Nakamura has donated the entirety of his league contract to charity. In his last season with Arizona, Nakamura donated his game checks to charities and foundations focused on benefiting local indigenous peoples and organizations. In Berlin, Nakamura donated his contract to organizations in Berlin that were working to help nurture and assist local athletes that had promise and were seeking to break into a career in professional gridiron football. Now in San Jose, Nakamura has promised to donate his entire contract, plus a matching donation from his own funds, to organizations in the area looking to increase respectable housing for low income, jobless, and homeless individuals and families.
