Melvin Murder-Moose is deserve of a Hall of Fame nomination. For a whole bunch of reasons. One they are a moose. A murderous one sure, but a moose nonetheless and it must be hell to play football with those knees. I imagine there were many ice baths to smooth that poor knees, even if he is 9 feet tall. Second they have done a ton to make Colorado Yetis a fun team and a lot to help new people out on the site. And I think that goes further than on field achievements, which are also insane. We are talking 2nd in sacks. Defensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, over 900 tackles. He is the season record holder for forced fumbles and defensive recoveries. A total menace for offenses. The accomplishments on and off the field are incredible. Get Moose into that Hall of Fame! I think they 100 percent deserve it!
Prompt Wrote:With Hall of Fame Nominations opening to the public a while back, there is more chances for public input into the hall of fame process. Talk about players/GMs/Users that you think deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, either someone that has already retired or a player that is still in the league. You may not talk about your own player (player hof) or yourself (user/GM) Big Edd, aka BigEdd ForeverYeti, feels like basically a slam dunk pick for the Hall of Fame. Awards are a big part of what voters seem to look for, and he has a ton of them with the 4 DTotYs and 6 pro bowls. I can see an argument that the career totals are pretty weak - his best is 45th all time for sacks. Looking at two other HOF pure DTs, Skarsgard is 9th in sacks and 21st for safeties while Miller is the all time leader in sacks. Skarsgard has 2 DLotY and also 6 pro bowl, while Miller has no awards and 6 pro bowls (though I'm honestly not sure what awards looked like that early on in the league). There's also an argument to be made in favor of Edd's lower stats being partially due to the sim migration and its reduced DL stat production (which led to balance changes for S34). I think he will get in but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some voters who aren't in favor. In my short time in the league, there is one player who stands head and shoulders above the rest in terms of Hall of Fame chances. That player is of course Yellowknife Wraiths QB Colby Jack, the big cheese himself. Jack is of course a two-time MVP, winning for his efforts in S26 and S29. Moreover, in each of the seasons that he won MVP, Jack was also able to successfully lead his team to win the Ultimus trophy. It's not like Jack was a two-hit wonder, either. As of the time of writing, Colby Jack is top 10 in every passing statistical category save two (12th in interceptions thrown, a good category to not be top 10 in, and 15th in completion %, surely a result of him playing part of his career before the S27 sim transfer). Jack holds the single season record for most passing yards, with a whopping 5,758 yards as part of his S29 MVP campaign, and is 2nd in career passing TDs behind the legendary Mike Boss (although he will surely be passed by Caliban and move to 3rd by the end of this season). Colby Jack will no doubt be elected into the Hall of Fame on his first ballot of eligibility, thanks to a storied career that saw Jack reach the highest levels of individual and team success.
One player who I had the pleasure of playing with during my career who I believe is deserving of a spot in the Hall of Fame is William Lim. Looking at Lim's resume, there is a case to be made that he is one of the best wide receivers in league history. Lim played at a consistently high level as he ranks #1 in career receiving yards and #3 in career receiving touchdowns. In addition to consistently good numbers throughout his career, Lim had several standout individual seasons as well as he won Wide Receiver of the Year three times. Only two other receivers have won this award more than twice and both of those receivers have already been inducted in to the Hall of Fame. With Lim's resume of sustained high level play along with high individual season peaks resulting in award wins, he put together one of the best careers that we have ever seen from a wide receiver and he looks like he will be an easy choice for the Hall of Fame when he arrives on the ballot.
