Richard D’Attoria not being in the hall of fame is a tragedy and should be looked at as a stain on the institution as a whole. RDAV is one of the best safeties in the history of the ISFL, provided some of the most iconic performances of all time, and signified an infamous era for the league. He sits at 15th in career interceptions while also being in the top 25 for tackles and being 35th in pass defenses. His performance in S19 earned him the defensive player of the year award. RDAV was named to the all-25 team as a safety. Along with a great career, he showed up in big moments in a way that few others can attest to. He put up 17 tackles and a pick six in his first ultimus appearance and nearly won it for the Liberty singlehandedly. Lastly, RDAV was one of the players who caused the ban on safeties playing linebacker. Danny Grithead, Mason Brown, and D’Attoria were so dominant that they had to get the rules changed. In any other league, that would lock someone into the hall of fame and it should lock RDAV in.
