Player Agent of Wide Receiver Saleem Spence - Saleem Spence Player Profile: https://forums.sim-football.com/showthre...?tid=28380 Saleem Spence Update Thread: https://forums.sim-football.com/showthre...?tid=28552
KCC defensive tackle Larry Landers used to be one of the most destructive forces in the DSFL when he was a member of the Coyoyes. He took the league by storm, racking up a rookie-high 13 sacks in his debut season.
He has two other First-Team All-Pro nods to his name, as well as two Second-Team All-Pro selections and five total Pro Bowls. He also helped KCC win two ultimini and had 6.0 sacks in 12 games in his final season. Has Landers does enough to make a strong case for the Pro Football Hall of Fame? I think yes. Given his resume, it’s hard to argue Landers doesn’t at least have a chance to make the Hall of Fame. He might not be a lock, but at the very least he should be in the conversation. He has been a somewhat controversial player in his career because of dirty play, but that shouldn’t really have much of an impact on his Hall of Fame chances. It’s his accomplishments on the field that should ultimately matter most when it comes to determining if he should be in the HoF.

Let me tell you, this is no easy task for a newbie. More so because I didn't want to be one of the numerous people advocating for recently (or soon to be) retired players who aren't even eligible yet. Everyone can look up player stats, but very few people bother to look at the people running the show; the GMs. Sure, there have been a small handful who have recently started getting some long-overdue recognition, but why stop there?
What if I told you there is a GM out there who was a founding member of the ISFL? A GM who may not have lasted long (only four seasons, as best I can tell), but in that time managed to compiled an astounding 82% win rate while winning back to back to back Ultimus titles. The first three Ultimus titles ever, in fact. Would you say such a GM is worthy of HoF enshrinement? Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you ADwyer, original GM of the Arizona Outlaws and champion GM of Ultimus Bowls I, II, and III. And, for some reason, not in the Hall of Fame.
I think Kai Sakura should definitely be nominated into the hall of fame once his career comes to a close. He is 6th all time in receptions and will easily climb into the top five by the time his career is over. He is 3rd in receiving yards, and 6th in touchdowns. Not to mention, he has countless WROTY awards, record breaking seasons, and a few Ultimus titles to top it all off. He also has a boat load of pro bowl appearances and was paired with one of the best quarterbacks ever to play in the ISFL Colby Jack.
It is sort of like the NFL where each player is integral in telling the league story and I do not think you can have any conversations about the ISFL and especially the ISFL post sim transfer without bringing up Kai Sakura. He should be a lock for the hall of fame and he deserves it. |
