I think that the biggest bust of recent has to be S7 Draftee, Wide Reciever Footballer Catcherman. First off, Catcherman’s name is so unbelievably dumb. Who in their right mind names their kid Footballer, especially if their last name is Catcherman. Seems like Footballer was just destined to be bullied in school, and that we was. Sorry to any Footballers out there, but your name sucks. Second, Catcherman is a pussy. He will never block, never try to make a tackle if there is an interception l, and will not stand up for his team mates if there is a fight. Seems like a major bust to me. Catcherman is very weak, which I don’t understand how he could be aince he is a football player. I thought football players were supposed to be strong, but I guess not. Catcherman entered the DSFL with high expectations, going 5th overall to the Marshals. While he did win a championship as an important player to that team, Catcherman did not preform up to his regular season stats in the playoffs. This shows that Catcherman has no clutch factor and chokes under pressure. In conclusion, Catcherman is the bugfest bust of all time, and is just an awful “footballer” overall.
The player who will always be in the biggest bust conversation is the former Orange County Otter, JJ Reigns, selected with the first overall pick of the Season One NSFL Draft. This was way before I ever joined the NSFL, but from what I heard there were great expectations on Reigns based on his statements heading into the draft and projected activity. During his first season, he posted a respectable stat line of 46 tackles and 14 sacks, which is great production from an interior lineman. Reigns second season was similar at 41 tackles and 9 sacks, but his activity began to drop off. The Otters chose to switch him to wide receiver when he became for the most part, fully inactive. Reign sat out the entirety of Season Three on the bench. He returned to the field next season, posting 81 receptions for 832 yards and 5 touchdowns. This was to be his final season in the NSFL. Reigns was supposed to be the player for the Otters to build upon and support an exceptional young defense. He never gave the effort deserved to a player selected first over ten's of other players who ended up succeeding. The Otters weren't badly affected by selecting him as Reigns did provide some decent production when he played, but he was never the impact player they believed he would become.

The title of biggest bust of all time, in my very informed opinion, belongs to none other than Borkus Maximus III! You are probably saying you yourself "Poopyface, that's your quarterback, how could you say he's a bust!" Well you're right that he is my quarterback, but you have my meaning quite mistaken. When I say that the title of biggest bust of all time belongs to Borkus Maximus III, I mean that he is quite busty. In all honesty, he has a very handsome pair of pectoral muscles and they are quite large. When I first met Borkus, I actually wondered if there was some kind of genetic mistake that left him with breasts, but no, he is just that heckin' swole. You should see him in the weight room. He picks up and puts down weights during chest exercises like nobody I have ever seen in my life. His bench is incredible, his incline bench is incredible, his decline bench is incredible. These things actually have helped him to not be a draft bust in the NSFL as his chest gives him such a cushion that defenders simply can't get their arms around him if they try to tackle him head on. For those reasons, I award Borkus Maximus III the title of biggest bust of all time.

Throughout the seven seasons in the national sim football league I beilive the biggest bust in the league would have to be bluesfan55 aka Joseph Lombardi. Lombardi if that was even his players last name honestly not a fucking clue Lol but anyway he created a kicker like myself but he was actually horrid he couldn’t even make a kick in practice. Being a kicker upcoming in the leagues I looked up to Lombardi because even though he couldn’t do anything right he had the ambition to keep trying so even if he scored no points he still tried and that’s all that matters right? Welp no because Lombardi was visiousley kicked out of the league (pun intended). Lombardi was a waste of a pick but he was picked up because no one wants to be the kicker who misses the game winner like Lombardi continuesly did. After his retirement Lombardi decided to try out hockey in which he flew out to San Fransico and currently plays for the pride out there where the young stud can score points on the ice but not on the field. He currently has settled down somewhere in Pennsylvania where he currently lives with his parents and probably a dog or something so like yea in conclusion blues was bad at da football ps ESKITIT.
Blaster Blade turned out to be one of the biggest busts in NSFL history. He looked to be a very promising prospect for the Yeti after they drafted him #2 overall in the Season 2 draft. However, he only stayed active for one season and was ultimately traded away in the offseason after his rookie year. The Yeti had a desperate need at offensive line that year, imagine what could have been if they had drafted Vincent Sharpei instead who would have provided a quality offensive lineman and would have eventually been able to switch to whatever the Yeti needed. However, the worst part about Blade being a bust was the opportunity cost incurred by the Yeti. Not only did they draft Blade with a high pick, they had to trade up to get that pick so they also gave up their third round pick. That pick turned out to be Paul DiMirio who has been a stud for the Liberty. The Yeti could have had Michah Hendrix and Paul DiMirio with those picks instead of Blade, which could have changed the course of the franchise. If they wanted to double dip at offensive line, they could have even had Avon Blocksdale with their third round pick. The Yeti giving up assets to move up in a stacked draft class and whiffing on the pick proved to be very costly as the Yeti could be a very different team today if things had gone differently in that draft.

It’s interesting that when I went to go write about draft busts, I thought I’d be clever and look at the most recent draft classes (ie. since I’ve been in the league at Season 5). But damn, NSFL teams, that is a solid group of guys. I tried hard to pick away at my draft in particular, thinking that I’d find a pick at least before myself at number 12 that I would be able to point to and go “oh, see? That is one that I would’ve been better suited for.” The hypocrisy aside of my inactivity at that time, it would’ve felt nice to find a not that active player in the first 11 picks of the Season 5 draft. But no such luck – although arguments could be made about the order of the picks and the implied evaluation and value associated, there’s no glaring hole in that last. Some of the guys I know better than others, but all of them are active contributors. So this PT task shifted from being about the draft bust to a revelation of the strength of the Season 5 draft class – I went 12 picks in and I like to think, quite humbly, that I was a steal (what with being a DSFL GM, $$ in the bank kinda guy). Instead, I came away with a new appreciation for my fellow Season 5 draft cohorts. Nice work guys.

@JKortesi81 aka Carlito Crush is the BIGGEST bust in all of NSFL history. Bigger than dermot, bigger than boss tweed, bigger than the shaka flocka. Why do you say? Well in the S5 draft Carlito Crush was the number one overall pick in the entire draft. And what has he produced? nothing, absolutely nothing. His stats have been horrendous for the 2 seasons he has been in the league. Who people thought would be the help the yeti needed to win has not help them win ANY games. We can go through that draft and look at the other busts, such as John Wachter, but at least Wachter won ROTY. Crush has won NOTHING and is beginning to look like a paper weight more than a receiver. hell even his blocking is more useful than his catching because he DOESNT CATCH ANYTHING. Hell he's almost as big as a bust as that Dwayne Aaron guy but at least Dwayne is incredibly handsome. Crush is just an ugly **** and even stinks up the yeti locker room when he walks in. Overall Crush is a DETRIMENT to the league and must be either cut or traded by the yeti. They'd rather have an inactive if they were smart.

When making a list of draft busts, the most popular choices are usually first rounders, and more specifically first overall draft picks. There are a few in the history of NSFL that fit either of those, such as J.J. Reigns, Alexander Selich, and Damian West, but I'm going to go another route. In my eyes, as I look back at the history of the NSFL draft, one of the biggest busts would have to be tight end Gabriel Tenzini. Tenzini was a second round draft pick and eighth overall in a draft pool of one hundred thirty-seven players. The fact that a tight end was taken that early you'd expect him to be some kind of game changer, a receiving tight end that could stretch the field and be an insane mismatch who is too big for defensive backs and too fast for linebackers. This tight end, on the other hand, was a let down from the start. He never had more than 407 yards in a single season and his career total of 3 touchdowns all came in his rookie season. It became clear early on in his career he couldn't be counted on even as a chain mover or red zone threat and the amount of opportunities his teams gave him took a quick dive. Gabriel Tanzini is easily one of the 'what if' stories in NSFL history.

Carlito Crush of the Colorado Yeti is easily the biggest bust in NSFL history. The former number one overall pick out of Portland has done next to nothing in his two full seasons as the starting Tight End in Colorado. The Yeti have only won 2 games in 28 starts with Crush in the lineup. He's only scored one touchdown in his career. While he was okay getting open, Crush would proceed to drop multiple balls. This would lead to internal arguments with Colorado franchise QB Nick Pierno. While the two would make up in the locker room, Crush would still be frustrated with Pierno's play. All of this would lead up to Crush writing an infamous "CoLOLrado" article, in which he called out everyone from management to coaching to players to himself in an effort to spark the team. This method would lead to lots of negative press about the Yeti, and would force Crush to explain how he was not trying to talk bad about the Yeti but rather to fire them up. The Yeti are now entering their second rebuilding phase and the lack of production from Carlito Crush is a big reason why the first one took a huge step back. (205)

Franklin Harris Sr, that's right, father of the Yellowknife Wraiths current TE, Franklin Harris Jr. After being selected 17th overall in the inaugural NSFL draft by the Baltimore Hawks, he showed much promise and potential that he could one day be one of the most elite defensive tackles in the league, but that flame was put out just as quickly as it grew. After just one year in the league, Harris was tried and convicted of first-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years to life in a Texas State maximum security penitentiary. When we last heard from him, he was a starting folder for the laundry team, a position where his quick hands will certainly be put to good use. Not a bust in the traditional sense, but the first player in the NSFL to waste so much talent and potential behind bars. [/div]
