So it looks like Poopsie has been a popular guy these past couple days with the media. I sat down with Poopsie for a quick 5 questions about the upcoming draft.
We’ll jump straight in with my first question for Poopsie.
1.What are your feelings on both the NSFL and DSFL draft classes?
“Honestly I believe that the NSFL draft is looking a bit strong, you got such players like Marquise Brown, Declan Harp and Bucky Barnes, this is going to be such a strong looking first round. It could in theory be one of the better ones the league has had recently. Looking at the DSFL, there are already 20+ rookies looking for their spot and it looks like its going to be such a strong class. Next Season's NSFL draft class is going to be a tight one and its going to be wonderful to see how we all play.”
I completely agree, there’s some great guys in both classes and the league will look completely different a year from now.
2.Out of all the incoming prospects which do you hope ends up on your team or former team?
“Two players I would love to play with are Adrianna Falconi and Achilles Hondo. Falconi is a strong quarterback coming into this draft class, already putting some games under her belt, and she will just continue to improve with time. I'd love to have her handing me the ball, or running out of the backfield for a pass from that wonderful passerr. Hondo, on the other hand, would be a dangerous combination to play with me. I am a quick guy, and hes bigger and could pave the way for such a dangerous duo in the backfield, oh man. It sounds to me like something that would be a beautiful offense.”
As a WR I agree with both players, I would love to have such a great passer throwing me dimes. I would also love to play with Hondo. He could pull the defense’s focus off of the passing game and open up the defense for some deep passes.
3. Which prospects do you think will have the best careers?
“I honestly have to toot on my own horn and think I'll have a great career, but if I didn't say that, who else would? But in all honesty, I see Achilles Hondo being super underrated and tearing the league up. He will be a long tenured guy that will continue to work day in and day out, always leaving everything he has on the field. This is one man i would love to play with and just to watch develop.”
There’s a lot of guys I think will have great careers, it’ll just be interesting to see how these careers play out.
4. Which prospects will be busts and why?
“Honestly, that is a very tough question. Any of us can become busts, it takes a single injury, or from what i've heard, a lot of ex NSFL players are usually murdered. I don't want to go down that path, but I can't really call out any one player to be a bust. It's all going to take time for everyone to adjust and just work hard.”
Again it’ll be intresting to see how we all adjust to the league and come into our own as players. I’m the same as you, I can’t really say who’ll be a bust or not.
5. What are your goals for the next season and the rest of your own career?
“My goals for next season is to set DSFL records and win an ultimini trophy. For the rest of my own career, I want to be the best that ever ran with the ball. I want to be remembered for helping build up a team, and carrying the load if the offense falters. I want to be that guy with his name in all the record books. You will remember the name D'Pez Poopsie...”
I think a lot of us have the same goals for our careers. I know personally I value championships over individual stats but wouldn’t mind setting a record or two and redefine what it means to be a route running receiver.
As we get closer to draft day, the excitement continues to build and the rookies continue to realize their lives are about to change. As we get closer to that life changing moment we’ll learn more and more about the future players of both the DSFL and the NSFL, and truly unravel some of the mysterious egnigmas that will soon find themselves on the gridiron. If you or a player you know would like to sit down for a quick 5, just message me and we can set one up. Thanks again for your time Poopsie and good luck on draft day.
