This season Damien Arnold is looking to improve his draft stock first and foremost. He feels that he’s going to turn some heads this season, and hopefully jump up the draft board a bit. Prior to the DSFL draft Arnold and his agent certainly felt he’d be selected in the first half of the draft, which he was, but thought it would be higher than 13th. So the goal for S9 is to play his way into being a 1st round pick in the NSFL draft, and that’s going to be a tall order because this draft has a lot of options for teams to choose from. This means Arnold is going to have to take his training to another level and fully commit himself to improving himself day by day. The Pythons would welcome any efforts Arnold makes to improving himself as a player, and the team is looking strong already. Portland is looking to avenge their loss to the Coyotes in last season’s playoffs, and Arnold has said he would love to make a big contribution to that effort. NSFL GMs way want to keep a close eye on the young safety this season as he competes to make his skills known.
