S15 NSFL Draft Prospects' Potential NFL counterparts
Today I'll be highlighting, in my opinion, the ceiling for all of these players regardless of what their build expectations are. I WILL NOT be pointing out any negatives, that may be for a different post. I won't be going through EVERY single pick but I'll try to do at least the first round. Afterwards, I'll probably just grabbing players from random parts of the draft. If I missed you please tag me and I'll personally make a comparison for you. I'll try to do a one or two sentence write up for my reasoning and get to the next pick.
Lets get straight into it:
#1 Pick - Brock Landers - WR - @gucci
A tall WR with decent speed and solid hands. Has a chance to go against the best DBs with his crisp route running and solid hands. Solid numbers for the season facing a class of incredible defensive backs, racking up 727 yards and 1 TD on a run heavy team.
NFL Counterpart - Mike Evans
#2 Pick - Quenton Bode - LB - @terriblehippo
A QB nightmare in the middle of the field. One of the most active players on defense. Solid tackler, can get to the QB, and can snatch the ball out of the air. An all around talent that has speed and strength. I have high praise for this man.
NFL Counterpart - Luke Kuechly
#3 Pick - Johnny Slothface - LB - @slothfacekilla
The man just knows where the ball is and gets there before anyone else can take a breath. He can stop plays before they start and he always deserves respect coming off of the edge. 123 tackles and 4 sacks shows off his knack for finding where and who will have the ball as early as possible in a play.
NFL Counterpart - Jadeveon Clowney
#4 Pick - Nero Alexander - DE - @shadyshoelace
No defensive lineman had more tackles or sacks than this man last season. The speed of a line backer with the strength to casually toss aside offensive lineman will make him an every down danger for opposing offenses.
NFL Counterpart - Von Miller
#5 Pick - Chase Jensen - TE - @dizzyDC
I'm confused on why people questioned this pick. You're getting a TE with incredible strength at the line and hands like a WR. Veteran or rookie, this man will be a headache to cover in the middle of the field. Will be an impact player game one, I'm calling it.
NFL Counterpart - Zach Ertz
#6 Pick - Lightsout Lewis - LB - @flyeaglesfly29
A defender well respected in his locker room and throughout all of the DSFL. An extremely smart player that can make audibles at the right time to put his teammates in the best position on field to succeed.
NFL Counterpart - Bobby Wagner
#7 Pick - Ricardo Morris - DT - @Roly
This man knows two things. Stop the play at the line and run over the Quarterback. He may not have lead the league in sacks but anyone who saw the actual games know that he was among the best at putting constant pressure on the opposing Quarterback. His long arms gives him the ability to snatch the RB down before he even gets a chance to hit the hole.
NFL Counterpart - Fletcher Cox
#8 Pick - AJ Lattimer - DT - @TeyonSchavari
His numbers don't speak the entire story. This man has the build and ability to be a major difference maker at the next level. An anchor with the ability to push linemen back at ease. With a veteran beside him the front 4 on the Otters' defense will be beastly by the end of the season.
NFL Counterpart - Malik Jackson
#9 Pick - Richard D' Attoria V - S - @124715
A genuinely bad human being that doesn't like puppies or kittens. The second best safety in the draft and a person that chew's his food with his mouth open. He grinds his teeth and likes to whisper the word 'moist' in people's ears while they're lifting weights. Just a bad person. This is his peak.
NFL Counterpart - Jamarcus Russell
#10 Pick - Ahri Espeeyeeseetee - WR - @`steelsound`
A tall WR with breakout speed and good hands. The guy knows how to find the ball when his QB puts the ball in the air. Defenders need to always dedicate a second man when he is in the redzone. San Jose found a stud that may be the difference maker when it's all on the line.
NFL Counterpart - AJ Green
- Now that the first round is out of the way I'll be grabbing just a few more notables from various points of the draft. -
#14 Pick - Morgan Marshall - RB - @`EnfysNest`
The most dangerous back in the draft. A man that can line up against DBs and straight up beat them. A man that can block for his QB when need be. A man that can hit the hole and break for a TD with sneaky speed. An all around offensive threat if I've ever seen one.
NFL Counterpart - Christian McCaffery
#21 Pick - Lucas Knight - CB - @ven_knight
A DB that can keep with anyone on the field. The best tackling CB in the league and the most underrated field general in the draft. Always keeping his guys in line on the field and focused. With such a lanky build with long arms he managed to be top five in interceptions and somehow fell all the way down to 21. What a steal.
NFL Counterpart - Patrick Peterson
#34 Pick - Giannis Kroustis - S - @`AirCrou`
Just like his teammate that was earlier drafted (Logan Uchiha), Giannis has this knack to play all over the field at an extremely effective rate. Maybe they train together, maybe it's the chemistry on the field but Giannis managed to stay stride for stride with Logan on the field. He can meet RBs in the hole, match WRs at the line and pressure the QB with ease. He'll be a difference maker in the future.
NFL Counterpart - Tyrann Mathieu
#38 Pick - Brave Ulysses - OL - @PaytonM34
No respect for the offensive line? Are you kidding me?!?!? This man slaps around defensive linemen for breakfast. He allow, lets all count together, ONE sack an ENTIRE SEASON. The man isn't human. All future defense need to blitz on the opposite side because he's not going to let it happen on his side. Sorry.
NFL Counterpart - Tyron Smith
#18 Pick - Lanzer Grievous - LB - @Rising Equinox
What happens when a safety and a LB have a baby? We ask many questions but we get the result which is this man. The speed of a safety with the power of a linebacker and the ability to flip the field with the ability to create turnovers in the clutch. This man has the ability to potentially carve out his own player archetype by the time he retires.
NFL Counterpart - Clay Matthews
#29 Pick - Nacho Varga - WR - @Fordhammer
A lights out receiver that can move the chains across the middle of the field, not afraid to take on any defender or can turn around momentum with his dangerous abilities as a kick returner.
NFL Counterpart - Desean Jackson
