Video games really are a great way to pass the time and enjoy your free time. Many people often look down on video games for being too "childish" or "violent", but I think video games can actually give you the opportunity to really expand your knowledge of the world. They can actually teach you many things that you may not already know about yourself, other cultures, government, and so much more. When I'm playing video games in my free time, you'll generally find me playing League of Legends of Rainbow Six Siege. At first, these games may not seem like the type of games that would teach you very much, but they have allowed me to connect with people all over the world, people that I would now call my friends, that I would have never met without playing these games with them. Video games have made me who I am today. I may be an NSFL football player, but what many people don't know about me is that I actually have a degree in animation and game design. In the future, I'd love to help others with my own influence on video games the same way that video games affected me. Video games are amazing, and they're constantly evolving, becoming better and better. I plan on playing video games as long as I can in life.
Video Games? Video Games!? Really? Video Games?
Okay maybe I do play video games. I agree there's nothing like turning on the console or computer and zoning out by myself slashing my way through the dungeons of skyrim or attempting to catch them all in pokemon. I used to spend hours or even whole days by myself, drinking soda/beer, eating pizza rolls and kicking Ganondorf's ass. Yeap Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was my favorite growing up. Lately I have been getting into Mobile Legends. The Multiplayer Online Battle Arena format is something that I really enjoy, and being able to play if on my phone where ever is a nice simple pleasure. However now, I really enjoy getting together with a group of friends, open a beer or more, and play a game of Settlers of Catan. That's right. A board game. No TV or electricity required. just a good group of people looking to have fun without any digital interface. actually catch up on life while making jokes, taking ass and kicking names. Board games are a great way to relax and have fun while also fulfilling the social attention needs without using social media platforms. It’s actually how I have gotten to know most of my neighbors when I moved to San Antonio and now Baltimore.
Marquees Acho definitely has a big gaming side when he’s not out on the field. His favorite game of all time is the Witcher 3, where he has fond memories of just wondering around the world and soaking up the lore. Fantasy rpg’s have been a big part of his childhood up to early adulthood and he’s happily awaiting the next big rpg yo arrive in gaming.
Recently Acho’s been playing a lot of Overwatch as a diamond rank (and is one of the few who does not get tilted) as well as the Game of Thrones mod for the game Crusader Kings 2. He’s recreated his family in that game and restarted the world of Westeros. His main goal is to unify the world under one house. Additionally, Acho’s gaming history wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the Dark Souls/Sekiro/ Bloodborne games. There’s not much better in life than to put one of those games on, turn on some music, and just grind through the beautiful environments whilst getting gud. Finally, Acho wanted to do a quick shoutout to the sports games that he loved: Madden NFL Head Coach games (06 & 09) as well as the ncaa football games. Many fake dynasties were born by playing those games for way too many hours when he was younger.
So my first video game console was the super Nintendo and I remember playing the crap out of that. It all started with Mario. I remember not being able to really do the ghost house one until my cousin showed me how to fly. Good times. Then I got really into Street Fighter II and E. Hondo and Blanka were my favorites. As I grew up my taste in video games would change and I'd become a strictly sports player, playing Madden, NFL 2K, MLB 2K, MVP Baseball, Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest, and eventually the NCAA Football games when they came out. Of course I'd play games like Halo and stuff with friends and what not at parties, but they were never games I'd purchase and play by myself. These days, however, I play a lot of different games, mostly Rocket League and World of Warcraft (I also played that back in the vanilla days) as well as occasionally Madden, MLB the Show, Apex Legends, and OOTP. Oh yeah I do still give Call of Duty a try every year, but recently they've become shit and suck........and don't ask me about that no gun skill game Fortnite, because of course I don't play shooting games where the shooting aspect of it isn't even part of the skill.

Ashley Owens is a big fan of Wolfenstein, both the first game and New Colossus. Mowing down Nazis in a badass future-tech apocalypse setting, and killing Hitler on Venus? What could be better?? This game combines shooting and a single player story, and Owens loves it. Other single player, open world (much more than Wolfenstein) games that Ashley plays are Bethesda’s masterpieces of Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas. Though he bought Fallout 4 recently, turns out he likes New Vegas better. God bless the NCR!
Recently, with his DSFL contract signed and in the bank, Ashley splurged on a Nintendo Switch and a number of games to go with it. He’s been playing a ton of Super Smash Bros in addition to a plethora of miscellaneous racing games. If only there were more... Owens invested hundreds of hours after middle/high school games and workouts into MX vs ATV: Untamed. He literally played it until his XBox died. One last game Ashley plays tons of... Madden. Playing with his favorite players from the National Football League is always fun, and he loves franchise mode the most. Gotta wonder though... why’s there not a National Simulation Football League game yet? Someone tell Infinite to get on the branding. (206 words)
My player's favorite video is probably Animal Crossing. I know there will be a lot of haters who don't agree with this idea or the notion that it is a fun game, but it is ultimately one of the greatest games ever created. Leighton Lee currently has the highest tier of Mr. Nook's shop that you can acquire. The goods are high end and it looks good in the city. He has been able to catch almost every type of fish and almost every kind of insect. The museum is extremely full and he has been able to buy a lot of bears to put in his massive house. The coolest thing that has happened on the game was when they made it possible to go to other peoples' worlds, which has led to Leighton also being able to interact on the game, not just always playing as a solo gamer. I think Animal Crossing may be one of the most underrated games of all time especially in a league where man spreading is all too frequent. I firmly believe that Leighton Lee loves playing Animal Crossing so much because he thinks that the animals are absolutely adorable to look at and wishes he could own real ones. Oh wait he can because he's rich.
Written Option: We all know NSFL players have plenty of downtime when they aren’t lifting, practicing, watching film, and playing. The best way to wind down is a good video game. Talk about your players favorite game or games to unwind with, or who they play with.
Sandy Bakshi has always taken his football very seriously, but unlike most pro football players that doesn't extend into video games. Sandy could care less for the latest Madden but has religiously followed the Final Fantasy series since he was a child with an original Playstation. He finds the games to be very detailed, demanding, and in-depth and would frequently berate his friends for making the "wrong" decisions or using suboptimal gear. As a child Sandy would spend many late nights with his best friend Tyler slogging through the lengthy and often confusing games. One would play while the other did homework, played music, smoke weed, or just sat around providing moral support. Sandy's nerdy side sometimes made him the butt of jokes on his high school football team, but his performance on the field pretty much shut up any would-be critics. Sandy's favorite game in the series is FF12, where he has the distinction of being one of a small percentage of players to defeat Yiazmat, an optional boss who takes over an hour of combat to beat. His interest in very detailed and stats-focused games has expanded beyond Final Fantasy into other RPGs and even onto the football field, as he is a very calculating and precise player. For him though, it's not a hobby, it's just who he is as a person. Code: Word County: 225 Code: Ready to be graded (225 words) Quenton Bode is well known for his laser focus when it comes to football. But everyone needs a break from time to time, and Bode is no exception. When he does get some downtime, he likes to sit on a couch and play some video games. He's been playing games with Mo Berry since their time at Nebraska (shout-out to @Frick_Nasty), and even though the two are now on different teams, they still make time to play together online. Bode's girlfriend is also a big gamer; many of their date nights consist of sitting in the living room and playing games well into the night. So what games does Bode like to play? Surprisingly, he isn't a big fan of Madden, or sports games in general. The one exception to this rule are the Blood Bowl games, which combine Bode's love of football with the fantasy genre. Overall, he prefers more relaxing, almost casual games. He thoroughly enjoys the various Animal Crossing games, and is proud of the fact that he owns every Animal Crossing game released to date. He's also a big fan of Stardew Valley, and has completed multiple playthroughs of the casual farming simulator. Recently he's tried getting into Overwatch, but Bode is quickly realizing that shooting games are not his strong suit.
I like video games, I just don’t like hurting nobody so I don’t play any of them shooting games. I play a lot of Madden, back in the day the best player to play with was Michael Vick on the Falcons, he was so fast he was practically impossible to cover. Although we’re not supposed to talk about him all that much anymore. In addition to football, I’ve always wanted to go to the moon. Kerbal Space Program lets me design rockets and send these little green guys into space. Super fun to try but sometimes the rockets don’t work too good so you gotta be real careful about it. I bought a game called Football Manager as well but it turns out that in other places of the world, football means something different entirely. It’s still a pretty fun game but I don’t really understand how to get my players to pick the ball up and run it into the net. They just kick it around the place. And you know how people say football players make too much money? We make pennies compared to what those types of football players make. Some short guy called Lionel Messi makes $645,000 every week. Negotiating with those players is really tough too ‘cause they don’t like takin’ team friendly deals at all.
