Marcus Robinson is the newest member of the inaugural season one draft and has sat down at the press box to field questions from anyone and everyone wanting to ask. Robinson is a Runningback and intends to tear the competition apart and become the fastest in the league. If you have anything you'd like to know, ask away, keep in mind if it's a stupid question, you'll receive a stupid answer.

Getting to the field early is usually something I like to do unless I'm required to ride in with the team on the bus. I like to get used to my surroundings and get a feel for everything,
take it all in and make sure I know what I need to do. I'll usually then just do a quick one-on-one practice or do some sprinting while listening to music just to get my blood pumping and my speed maximized.
Quote:2. Who do you believe is your NFL counterpart and why?
I'd like to believe in being a primetime Adrian Peterson. The guy has been a workhorse for years, and while some people may not consider him the top dog, I believe he's still up there,
but even more-so I'd like to believe I'm like him when he was really leading the league and showing them how it's done. I love his ability to get out of sticky situations and just his agility and speed, something I also like to focus on.
Quote:3. Inside and Outside football inspirations/role models?
If I'm being modest, my inside football inspiration is my coach here at Duke and my coaches and teachers in high school. They all inspired me to be the best person I could be,
whilst outside school would be my parents. Looked up to them since day one and I've never looked back, if I can become half the person my parents are, I'll turn out okay.
Quote:4. What's your best memory regarding Football as a kid?
It would have to be winning a championship in high school as the star Runningback.
Our offense was straight fire but the fact that running the ball ended up being the bigger reason we one was huge. I've never felt so honored or accomplished in my life until I helped my team win a ring, and hopefully I can feel that again here.
Quote:5. Have you ever been to an NFL stadium?
Many times growing up I'd travel to games with my dad, as his work would give him tickets all over. We'd go and see the Eagles one week, go and see the Saints another,
it was just a blast. To get to experience and even learn from watching these pros in person really to me helped my game as I could see what they were doing, and put it into my own game.
Quote:6. Favourite stadium to play at during your college career?
How can you say any other stadium outside of home? Duke was exceptional, the fans were always so alive and active and just oozing team spirit, it was a great feeling to come home and play in front of all of them. I think they made it so fun and again another thing I'd love to find here is an electric crowd like I'm used to playing with.
Quote:7. If you had to be one which would you choose, dog or cat?
I'm allergic to cats, so as much as I love them, I'm deathly allergic to them, so I'll have to choose dog. I love any kind of animals if I'm being honest, I'd horde them if it was humane, but for now I've just got the one and he's the key to my heart, love the guy.
Quote:8. Why do you wear the number you wear on your jersey?
Partially because it's my favorite number, partially because it's a lucky number, and somewhat even because it's part of my birthday (day), but I mean it's just a number that's stuck with me forever. If something has an 11 in it, like a lottery ticket or something like that, I'll try to snatch it, it just has brought me some luck in the past and I wanted to bring that luck here.
Quote:9. As a small joker back do you think you have the durability to handle 20 date=][b]10. Given your lack of blocking skills do you feel like teams might hesitate to involve you on third down?
If they are scared, they don't trust me. With work and dedication, nothing is impossible,
and I'm going to end up being one of the most active and trained guys on the market,
so if they don't want to use me, it'll be a damn shame, but it'd be silly to say I can't do it.
It's totally up to them though, I would like to say that they can rely on me though.
Quote:11. What pass play is your biggest strength: screen passes, shovel passes, rail routes, spider 2Y banana?
I won't give up my best plays, as that's for the team that drafts me to utilize as a strategy,
but I will tell you that one of my most enjoyable plays and something I like seeing run is a screen, just something I've found not only successful but easy on my end to execute.
Would it work every time? Probably not, but it should get the deal done.
Quote:12. If football didn't work out for you, what would you see yourself doing?
Sports and football in general have always had the biggest impact on me, so if for some reason football couldn't be done, depending on why, I may just try another sport. If however it's due to some kind of career-ending injury, people tell me I'd be a good sales person, so maybe something to do with cars or god only knows, something to make sure I'm not bored, maybe even a coaching job in a sport.
Quote:13. Scenario: 3rd and 10. You've caught the ball on a shovel pass to the outside, you've rounded the corner and made it 8 yards. The strong safety is coming head on to you, fast and hard. He drops his pads to chest height to make the tackle. Do you: 1) Get your pads lower and go under him. 2) Get higher and go over top of him. 3) Square up to take him shoulder to shoulder. 4) Try to juke him and run towards the center of the field. 5) Run out of bounds and hope you can punch it on 4th and 1.
While I think I could either a) Juke his ass and run towards center or B) try to run it in one 4th and 1, both of those would be questionable plays. I think I'm built enough and strong enough to take the guy on head to head, or just get over him if possible. My obvious route to take would be to try and avoid him all together, but with a collision that is very likely to happen, either or would likely work for me.
Quote:14. Are you afraid that teams will focus too much on passing the ball instead of running it?
I wouldn't call it afraid or a fear that they won't run the ball, lets just call it skeptical.
Every team does things differently, and at the end of the day...who am I to tell them how to do things. If they find success early with throwing the ball, then surely they'll try to use that as much as possible, but if I can show-off my skills early, I'm hoping that the teams will realize the running game isn't so scary, and let me do my thing. It'll certainly be uneasy for the first few games, but as time progresses I think it'll be okay.
Quote:15. In college, what was the class you liked the most? The least?
I think my professors made it easy to love Science the most, specifically anything to do with Chemistry, but at the same time, it was a love-hate relationship. I was getting good grades but not all of the experiments we performed went...as planned. The least favorite was anything to do with math. I'm a chemist by major, so I mean I know I need it here and there, but I suck at it, and that's not something too many people care to admit. It's just not my thing.
Quote:16. What's your strangest hobby?
I wouldn't really call it a hobby but I've got a really bad nailbiting issue going on, if I say so myself. I'm terrible for it, I do it all the time, and I don't know if it's nerves, or just out of boredom, I couldn't really tell you the reason, all I know is that I do it way too often and I need to stop doing it.
Quote:17. Did you defend Pete Carroll after he didn't run the ball in the Super Bowl? If you were in that situation, how would you respond?
Is everyone susceptible to making mistakes? Most certainly, but from a player standpoint, I wouldn't have been too happy getting that call from my coach when deep down inside, I would have known what was likely to transpire on that play. If it was an easy win, you were just chillin' on the sidelines, whatever, it may have been a different story, but this was such a crucial point to not have to fuck up, and he did. I can't say that call shouldn't have been made, I mean I'm a runningback, I would have wanted to run it, but maybe even a different passing play if anything else, just a poor call on judgement.
Quote:18. If you will truly be the fastest in the league, have you ever considered Olympic track?
It was an afterthought besides wanting to play football. I competed in my schools regional track meets and I won a fair bit, I have a lot to show for it like trophies and medals,
but I don't know if I'd ever quit what I'm doing and go Olympic, as it's a full-time commitment and my heart is somewhere else. The only thing I can do, is give credit to my track meets in the sense of getting my running to where it is, because it's only helped me in becoming the fastest and the best with a steady pace, so I'm glad I chose the path I did.
Quote:19. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be and how long would it take you to spend the $10,000?
I'm a tech guy, so somewhere that can get me a lot of new toys is likely where I'll end up,
somewhere like Best Buy, the Apple Store, god only knows, but it wouldn't take long to spend it, I can tell you that.
Quote:20. What is the weirdest thing you will ever admit to having done in the past?
I can't really recall anything weird that I've done per say.
Quote:21. What song best describes you when you first wake up in the morning?
Depends on if I'm a zombie or not that morning. If I'm in a good mood that day, likely something simple such as "I feel good" would suffice, however if I'm just not feeling it,
I'd say something a little more down low on the tempo like "I Hate Everything About You" haha, just something where I don't feel like functioning.
Quote:22. What place in the US would you most like to visit? Why?
I'd love to visit Chicago, somewhere I've never been before. I've heard nothing but good things however that is one place I've never traveled with my dad for sporting events or my family at all for that matter. Maybe in the future you'll catch me spending some time there.
Quote:23. What place outside of the US would you most like to visit? Why?
I feel like a lot of people would pick the obvious places like Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, somewhere that is always considered a tourist area and a place a lot of people want to go,
but when I travel I want to make everlasting memories and with that I'd want to go somewhere unique like Ireland, Scotland, Iceland, Germany or somewhere you really don't say you're just going on vacation for a week like it's normal.
