Normally I would be upset with my statistical output from the first two weeks but it makes sense seeing as though I hadn’t yet cleared the physical in order to make me eligible to play the first two games. I struggled a bit with the stress test portion of the physical since I packed on a few pounds since my college days. I guess I wasn’t quite used to running with the extra weight. They also wanted me to take a pee test, which I had to schedule for another day. I just told them I was taking medication for a cold that might have popped on the test and rather than end up failing it I wanted to come back and deal with it once I was feeling better.
However, once I did get that all taken care of, and I was eligible to play, I had a bit of a disappointing second game. We played the Kansas City Coyotes and while did record six tackles, none of them were for a loss and I wasn’t able to come up with a sack. Normally this would be fine but the week before I recorded a sack, it was my first ever game so it was exciting. To follow that up with a goose egg in the sack column the next week is a bit of a let down. But I won’t let that keep me down and I’ll keep on pushing.
