I’ve had two disappointments so far this season. I thought we would at least beat one of our opponents in our double-header against Yellowknife or Baltimore. Instead we lost both. We didn’t even have to travel. Everything was set up for both games. So now we sit 4-2 on the season. While it’s not a bad record it will not help that we will need to travel for a few games and that can wear a team out. Home crowds are always so loud. The team itself has been playing good on offense and the defense has been playing amazingly. McDummy seems to be adding a new element to his game which is helping him keep defenses wondering if he’ll run instead of throwing or handing it off to someone else. That added element has certainly helped the last few games. After tonight we will be passed the half way mark on the season. We need to keep progressing forward without taking steps backwards. We really need to pull off a road game upset one of these weeks and we’ll be a shoe in for the playoffs. Right now that is the goal. Once we get to the playoffs it will be a team by team and week by week basis. Let’s get all the Yeti fans to come out to the next few road games and cheer for us while we make a big push. #YetiNoises!
Coming into this season, my expectations from the Baltimore Hawks were lower than usual. We always play for the biggest prize and we never go through rebuild phases where we are ok with not performing. So usually my expectations are to make it at least to the conference finals, but this year I was expecting something less, like barely making it to the playoffs. However, we are flying high therefore it is pretty hard for me to talk about my disappointments with our season so far. That being said there is a particular game that I am still salty about. Yes, you guessed it right. It is our only L so far, which was during a home game against the Yellowknife Wraiths. It is bad enough that we keep losing to them at home, but this time it was because of a last second touchdown. Not a last drive touchdown but a last second touchdown. They were able to score a touchdown with the last play of the game! I would love to blame the defense for letting that happen, but to be honest we had a lot of opportunities that game. If we were able to capitalize on those we could have secured an easy W for us but we just failed to deliver.
Well, yet another easy topic for me to write about. Torenson has been pretty terrible this season. Actually he has been so bad I truly feel bad after all the time spent in free agent discussions. I had some outstanding offers but Philly just kept coming back and wouldn’t let me go. They really took care of Sam and he has not repaid the favor by any stretch. He is currently on pace for his lowest career total of less than 1200 yards rushing. He has a decent number of touchdowns keeping him active and viable in fantasy and even has added a decent share of receiving yardage this season but he earned his payday based on running with the football and he is not holding up his end of the bargain, currently. He could still catch fire and finish with good string of 120 yard games and jump back up to the 1400 yard level but he has already had more games under 100 yards rushing than in his prior 3 seasons combined! It is extremely frustrating to have a team counting on me or individuals expecting big numbers out of me in fantasy and not be producing for them. Sam needs to turn it around and in a hurry.

Well we are a week into the season and I have to say I’m pretty surprised how much higher the level is when compared to the DSFL, these fat ass linemen and quick quarterbacks are really ruining my sack party. I thought I would be manhandling these guys… I thought I would have been able to come into this league and cause a ruckus right away, it couldn’t have been any further from the truth, I got an early sack in my first game and haven’t been able to get to a quarterback since.
It’s a bit discouraging, but I know if I keep working as hard as I have been in the gym and on the training field, I can prove to the Baltimore Hawks organization and all their incredible fans that I was worth trading up in the draft for and of course there is still hope with Baldari and Poopsie around I’ve been picking up some great tips from those two psychopaths and you can expect me to be getting my hands on these QBs soon and once I’ve got them, I’ll never let go. NSFL Offenses beware…. The Hawks Defense is getting stronger every day and we are collecting heads, because every fireplace mantle could use a couple Quarterback heads. Click it ----> Why yes, I am self promoting myself. Henlo Beblos
