16- Dynasty
The key part about having a Dynasty is having the success while key parts of your team are young and still improving. Offensively Philly has a young core. Sam Torenson is the best back in the league. Gets 25-30 touches a game and always hovering around the 100 yard mark. Next up we have one of the most important positions in Football and that's the QB position. With the great Falconi retiring, Philly is going to have to look at their youth with Avon Blocksdale Jr coming up the ranks. The Rookie is going to rely heavily on the Run game with Torenson but also his recievers in Nacho Varga and Jake Dropson. Fuzzy Dotson brings in a change of pace at RB being able to catch out the backfield. Defensively Philly has one of the best in the league. Leading the way is Richard D'Attoria V. One of the best players out the S15 class is entering his 6th season off an MVP like season. Joining him in the secondary is S15 Corner Edmondov Emoji, as well as S17 Julian McMorris and S18 Stuart Little. Add Thudd Kassel, ILove Gimmy and up and comer Mike Franchet... This Defense is young, Fast, and not going away anytime soon.
11) Heroic Performance
I think one of the most not only heroic performances but just a normal performance was done by Richard D'Attoria V in the first week of the season. D'Attoria V definitley set the bar as he went on to have an MVP caliber season. In week 1 Philly who finished with 3 wins last season, faced off against the top team in the NSFC the Yellowknife Wraiths. With it being the first game of the season, Philly was also dealing with a very young defense. Emoji and D'Attoria V were the 2 veterans only being drafted in S15. While having younger players like McMorris, Little, Thudd Kassel and Ilove Gimmy, D'Attoria knew he had to be at the top of his game to help propel this Defense and make it one of the best in the league. D'Attoria started the season off with a Sack on the first drive before Emoji took an INT to the house to put Philly Up. He continued the game with a 2nd sack early in the first quarter. Second quarter D'Attoria V got his first pick of the season. He would later get his 2nd INT of the game while adding in 4 PD's. To finish things off D'Attoria V took a 3rd INT to the house and sealed the game for Philly upsetting and defeating the defending NSFC champions by having one of the biggest games by a defensive player in the history of the league.
10) Commissioner
The first thing I would do is change the league to Canadian Rules Football. Canadian rules have been around far longer than the american set of rules. Secondly the Canadian game is much as it's a wider and longer field plus adding a 12th player on the field. With Wider endzones teams will get more creative in the endzone, while also moving the goal posts to the front of the endzone it leaves scoring opportunities on missed field goals. Not only would this make the game faster, it would also forces players to be more athletic as Big power LB's would also have to worry about coverage a lot more. Secondly I would change the DSFL more into College. Let's players choose the schools they want through recruiting but have some restrictions to stop a bunch of recreates from joining 1 school and become a power school for a few years before turning pro.
12) Interview a draftee
For this I interviewed TE prospect Blake Gragg. For what its worth this interview happened before the draft aired.
Question 1) if you could pick 1 QB to play with, doesnt necessarily mean you want to play on that team but just the QB who would it be and why?
Answer: If I had to pick a QB it'd be Cooter Bigsby, he's a good friend outside of sim leagues and we play D&D together!
Question 2) I was drafted DSFL as a Reciever and converted to a CB. If you could pick another position what would it be?
Answer: If I could play another position, I would probably play WR or LB, I wanna be a dynamic, impact player and those two positions can be game changers.
Question 3) As a TE your often expected to catch like a Reciever and block like an Olineman. What kind of training do you do to meet both those expectations?
Answer: I'm definitely modeling my game after George Kittle and TJ Hockenson. Iowa knows how to build their TEs, and that means blocking as much as it does receiving. I'm making sure to focus on my strength training and run blocking to be effective in both the run game and pass game.
Question 4) It's a fairly big draft class, what sets you apart from others and when would you consider yourself a steal? Realistically looking do you see yourself as a 1st rounder? Or do you more so think you see yourself being a 2nd-3rd rounder?
Answer: I don't think I'm a first rounder, no. I am a recreate after going IA, after retiring the day of the draft and unretiring. I think that might scare a number of teams away. Plus I am not a max earner. I try to earn all the free TPE I can, but I'm very active in a number of other leagues too that make being a max earner in the NSFL difficult. But I'm a consistent earner, so I think I can be a very productive 2nd/3rd rounder.
Question 5) As a TE you see a lot of action with LB's, what linebacker In this draft class CANT stop you?
Answer: A good TE can be a matchup nightmare: Realistically I don't think there's a LB or a S that can stop me when I'm on my game. My size makes me too big to match up a safety and I'm consistently getting faster, making it hard to match me up with a LB.
