Why Myrtle Beach will win the Ultimini? Easy, we are the best team in multiple categories. Our running attack is the best in the entire DSFL, and my player, Dax Frost has a serious shot at winning MVP. Major in part to Myrtle Beach's fantastic offensive line. We have 3 OL over 170 in TPE, and even our TE is getting a ton of pancakes as well. We have a 200 TPE QB, as well as 4 WRs over 130 TPE. While we still run the ball a ton, our passing attack has been key to some of our wins. Now onto the defense, while the #NoFlyZone is not the same as last season, Rotticus Scott is still there, and the new players are amazing as well. Two stud safeties in Hellzapoppin and Lanier, and Altidor and Mori as the added CBs. DL wise, we have 4 DL over 100 TPE, making opponents running attacks fall apart. We cannot forgot about special teams! Kalakar has been an amazing kicker for us, and with our RedZone offense falling apart, he makes sure that we can still get the win. This star studded defense, offense and special teams unit, in addition to two amazing GMs, gives Myrtle Beach a legitimate shot at finally claiming that sweet sweet trophy!

Well With Two Games to go The Pythons have made one of the largest changes in one season going from Two wins and twelve loses last season compared to the Six wins and Six loses this season. now that may not sound like much but in this tight season a six and six record is enough to put us in for a chance at the Ultimini. now let's break down how the pythons could make it. First the last two games we can not lose that would make it really hard to make it, Second if the Minnesota Grey Ducks lose just one of their games are chances go way up and if they lose both the spot in the playoffs is ours and finally if we win both of our games there isn't a way for us not to make the playoffs. now if we make the playoffs we will have to Beat the Kansas City Coyotes the team with the highest win lose percentage in the DSFL that's going to be a very hard win to get but it's completely possible to pull it off. If and it's a big if we make it all the way to the Ultimini we will be facing someone from the SFC which has been hard to call who will make the playoffs for a long time and still is hard to call.

In a time where expansion teams are expected to tank and fail in couple first seasons, Dallas Birddogs are really defying the odds so far, and while they are on the outside currently 5-7 record for a completely fresh team. They are excellent at home and so it comes that final two games of the regular season will be played there against 6-6 teams - Portland Pythons and Norfolk Seawolves (which I still about in terms as bot team, since it was one ~2 years ago when Fyodo was playing his only season down in NSFL). What we have going is a balanced team that has efficient offence - we don't get a ton of yardage, but we score when it's needed. The defensive side is actually the opposite, but we are one of the most improving team so every week puts us in a better position to win it all. Our rookie duo of Running Backs - Goodman and Jones share the ball really well, so enemy teams never know what to expect on each play. Hopefully, they bring it all on final two games and we can qualify and then win in the postseason!

As for the next year, it might actually be harder, since the best prospects are likely to go to up to the newly expanded NSFL, so once more hitting gold on the draft night might be paramount for the clubhouse success.

I don’t even know what to write about this season anymore. I think the closest comparison I can think of is the 1986 New York Jets and it’s not exactly a perfect one. For the record, this was well before I was alive so I can’t claim to have lived it, but the Jets started off 10-1 on the season. The New Orleans Second Line started off a franchise-best 9-0. A lot of big wins with some being close, but with quite a few never really being in doubt. Then week 10 happened. We lost in back-to-back dramatic games at home vs the Wraiths and Otters, both coming down to the end and by a combined 4 points. Now being 9-2 is still a hell of a record and we should have bounced back, but we lost a 1-point game on the road to a good Baltimore team. Well shit, that’s now 3 losses in a row. To cap it all off, we get crushed on the last week of the season on the road to Chicago. Like the New York Jets, we wind up losing the remaining games of our schedule and limping into the playoffs. Where just about one real life week ago I’m in the best position of my sim career, now I’m questioning everything. I’ll still go ahead and say New Orleans will win it all, but that feels like more of a wish than a prediction now.

There is one important factor that will certainly separate the Norfolk Seawolves from the rest of the pack and GUARANTEE we win the Ultimini Championship this season. While it is obvious that there are numerous skilled players and teams in the DSFL, ONLY Norfolk has that intangible that separates good from great: heart. Our locker room is filled with the kindest and most helpful souls on the planet, and I’ll be honest, Scorp and new co-GM Juni have done a fantastic job of building a culture of inclusiveness and positivity. It is true that as a recent expansion team we don’t have the most statistically impressive group of players, everyone tries their hardest on gameday, and while our results thusly are not immediately stunning, it’s clear this team has the talent and capacity to go all the way. While it is true that our offense has not been truly elite this season, and our defense is often flashy but inconsistent, the secondary does consist of the best CB in the DSFL (me, Atlas Quin), and everyone is grinding their ass off to get that TPE and improve every week. Norfolk is going all the way, and you know what, they’ll probably go back to back and win another one next season to.

That’s the sound haunting the DSFL this year as the Kansas City Coyotes are on the prowl, feasting on the rest of the teams in the league. They had a lackluster season last year in which finishing 5-9 season and somehow sneaking into the playoffs, where they were quickly bounced. They also lost their GM from last year, promoting their old co-GM and hiring a new one. The Coyotes have bounced back with tenacity this year, however! They are the hottest team in the DSFL going into the final two weeks after starting the year 1-2. The ‘Yotes have since won 8 of 9 games, including 3 ever-daunting road games. They have the best record in the league, the highest scoring offense, and the least points allowed.

On offense, they are led by one of the best QBs in the league, Chika Fujiwara. Drafted by the Baltimore Hawks last year, Fujiwara has led a balanced offensive attack. Running the ball is fellow send-down RB Andrew Nova, who is currently 3rd in the league with 1193 yards and 6 TDs. Along with Nova is DSFL rookie, #21 OA pick, RB Kevin Fakon, with almost 900 yards on the ground. Fakon is also a touchdown machine and is tied for second in the league with 9 TDs. In the pass game, Fujiwara is throwing to KC’s #YeetSquad. Led by returning TE Tree Gelbman, the Squad also boasts the best WR duo in the league with Eddie Jeeta and Michael Witheblock. Not to be forgotten are fellow wide outs, Tan Johnson and Jamie Watson.

Not to be outdown, the defense has been pulling their weight, too. Up front, the team is driven by a duo of linemen, rookie TPE-leader DT Phat Boi and returning DE Chip Otle. The athletic defensive end is currently tied for the league-lead in TFL with 21. Not to be outdone, rookie DE Patrik Money and LB Sean O’Donohue are having monster years, both currently tied for third in sacks with 7. At linebacker, the Coyotes are led by tackling machine Fawn Dilmiballs (who also leads the league in unofficial “Best Name” voting). Behind them, the Coyote defense has safety Jon Bois, who has been making big plays all year.

If you’re following and can do simple math, you can see why the Coyotes are in line to take home the ‘Mini this year. Competition in the DSFL is tough, but the Pack are the team to beat.
