The Austin Copperheads did make the playoffs, but were a league behind the two best teams in the conference and the national simulation football conference as a whole. We are the reigning champs so it's not really my place to tell team management how to run that team. That being said, do you really expect something like respect to stop me?
The first place we need to improve is free agency. When was the last time Austin had a big free agency? The answer is never. Now I don't know that and I refuse to do any research on Austins history so you will just have to accept it as fact. After this years expansion draft who knows what the team will need at least one offensive weapon, I'd prefer another running back to help when Mendonca gets tired out, not that he isn't the best half back in the class. The most important thing the Copperheads can do to get to the Ultimus next year is draft weirdos and losers instead of grown ass married men with families and careers and friends to distract them from what is important, the NSFL. Needless to say I don't think that we should go as far as drafting some kid with an anime pfp but I think there's plenty of great talent to find that fits that criteria.
I am telling you right now, the Philadelphia Liberty are not worried about winning the Ultiminus, but instead just making the playoffs. We have not made it to the playoffs since s16, in which the Liberty made it all the way to the Ultimus. So how do we get to the playoffs? Our roster on offense has a young QB, the greatest RB of all time, an elite wide out and two up and coming wideouts. The defense is where we need to be able to gather some key pieces. Our star DB is retiring at the end of the season, so we need to find a replacement. Also, it seems the sim was just not friendly towards the liberty this year. One game our QB threw FIVE picks even though he has over 90 acuracy and 88 intelligence. I would never expect a player to throw five picks in a game, especially one who has over 90 accuracy. The games that were 50/50 just did not seem to go our way, so hopefully next year the sim is more of a Philly fan. Our team is right on the verge of competing, and if we nail this draft we should be able to get back into the playoffs for the first time in my NSFL career, and maybe go even further.

Written Option: The playoffs are just around the corner. For some of us, the siren call of the championship is still within reach; for others, it’s already effectively been put out of reach. In 200 words or more, make the case why your team will be the one to win the Ultimus or Ultimini; or, reflect on how you think your team needs to improve in order to get back into contention next year.
we fuckin sucked this year tbh with y'all especially during the regular season. expansion draft is happening this offseason which will knock a few guys down and off the roster onto one of the new expansion teams, really for us to be in a position to contend and repeat in our 5th consecutive playoff bound season is to just draft right. we already have traded up to get the 1OA pick to get the guy we want, no hes not the guy you think we want, its actually a different guy. so after that really its just about using our later picks in the hella fuckin deep draft class to fill holes that were losing out on from the expansion draft and bumping guys up over inactives/old guys and semi inactives, thats the name of the game beyond that really its making sure we protect the right guys in the expansion draft and then seeing who in free agency that we like and i think theres 1-2 borderline guys we like but beyond that its a pretty fuckin shite free agent class to be real with y'all same thing it is every year and thats just getting guys into positions of need and letting your strats be set once and never touched again as you march your way to the ultimus destroying NOLA despite 1,250,000 test sims in the matchup and fluking by yellowknife in the ultimus yee fucking haw fellers Click it ----> Why yes, I am self promoting myself. For the Dallas Birddogs to win the ultimini, they'll need quite a few things to fall in place. The first of which will be to win their two home games against Norfolk and Portland. Secondly, they'll need to have Tijuana lose one of their games against Myrtle Beach or Kansas City. Finally, and most importantly of all. They need to rely on veteran quarterback Gimmy Jaropollo.
Gimmy is the most experienced player on the Birddogs roster, and they'd be wise to use this to their advantage. Jaroppolo has a storied career in the DSFL, and has seen his way around. His leadership and experience will be paramount to winning it all for Dallas. It is also important they maintain their lethal running attack. With dual threats White Goodman and Kichwa Jones in the back field, they should be able to sustain pressure on opposing defenses. Alongside offensive threats such as William Lim and Jeffrey Phillips, the Birddogs are in prime position to punish anyone that comes at them. All of this, of course, will be for naught without Jaroppolo at the helm. The Birddogs are the second youngest roster in the DSFL, and will need leadership going into the playoffs. |
