I guess people in this league don't get treated the same. And according to one of them, I am not even needed in the league and people would be happy if I left. He may be right, but that doesn't make his comment non-toxic at all. Which was what happened in the DSFL GM chat. The jokes about Portland were infinite. We were hussled to make draft picks, and we weren't on the clock not even for 30-35 minutes. It was one specific person that jumped the gun, and everyone followed. It was the same person that made the comment. I won't call his name, he knows who he is. The punishment we received last season was getting brought up daily.
I had already reached my breaking point. That comment though was the last straw. And I snapped. I should keep my cool, but when you let things slide daily, it stacks up. And the higher the stack, the bigger the bang. And that led HO to ask me to step down from my co-GM position in Portland. Which I will do. I am not doing it to save face. I am doing it to be able to tell my side of the story. I am not trying to play the victim, but I am not the only one to blame here.
But whatever, I guess this can be a learning experience to everyone in the DSFL GM chat. Jokes are funny, unless they are hiding digs behind them. And they are directed to the same people all the time. And please, start treating people the same.
I'd like to thank, and apologize to @`KanakoTheSquirrel`, for the opportunity and the upheaval I created. I would also like to thank and apologize to my guys over at Portland. I know it sucks to learn about it this way, but I suck at saying goodbye, and trust me, I didn't want it to end this way. At least I am leaving on my own terms.
I also hope that I will be able to assume duties as a GM once again in the future, if I don't leave the league until then.
So long everyone!
