Though they won't be remembered as a championship team, the S22 Minnesota Grey Ducks deserve to be remembered. We were a tight-knit group of people that cared deeply for each other. We supported each other, we pushed each other, and we pinged each other incessantly. It feels like a summer breakup. There were never any hard feelings, but you have to face the fact people must move on. You'll stay friends, but you'll always go back to those hazy, loving memories when you need a safe place in your mind.
Even though some S22 and S23 players could be back in Minnesota next season, it won't be the same. The S22 team was a team of legend and infamy. Outsiders wanted to see the world-famous @Dewalt27 locker room, and they were welcomed with open arms. Over the last few days, we've seen numerous people from all over the league make themselves at home in Minnesota. I truly feel this team was the shining example of what team culture can and should be in the NSFL.
It all comes down to the players, with @Jangorhino and @BenDover leading the way along with Dewalt and @CLG Rampage. It was so infectious, new players like @Tylus and @24redcrayons caught on so quickly, you would swear they'd been there for years.
I'll miss the guys like @`Reaper11B`, @Dagumpa, @FurFurFurson, @DarknessRising@DarknessRising, @Jason, @SnowyWolfz, and @TheCC.
We may not have our names etched in NSFL/DSFL immortality, but this team deserves to be remembered for the bond they've built, the friendships they've nurtured, and the hell they've raised together.
Godspeed, you devils.
