I think a tremendously difficult decision in every rookie's future is how to handle the scouting process both in the DSFL and NSFL. All teams will reach out and engage with you and ask you honest questions asking how interested you are in joining that team. Every rookie (especially repeat users) will have competing interests: do you want to be a team player and go wherever the draft takes you, or does nostalgia make you want to rejoin friends and teams that you have a personal connection with? Do you let your "in character" desires control, or do you want to brashly say that you want to go to a team for reasons that your player would never think about?
I faced that head-on in the DSFL scouting process. Teams outright asked me whether I wanted to play with my "brother" Tyler Montain. Of course Asher wanted to play with his brother! But, would I seriously pass on a interested team for that reason? Asher decided to put personal feelings aside and say that he would love to play with him, but would have just as much fun competing against him. The obvious ramifications were that I did not go to Dallas to work with Amidships and Kyamprac, and I have not regretted it since!
