Despite you being very loose with your definition of “attack” it doesn’t change the fact that an HO member went into a DSFL locker room and talked shit to new recruits. That’s not what league leadership should do. Take off your Dallas shaded glasses and look at the situation. It’s embarrassing for the league, not just current or former members of Dallas. ONE person tagged him to talk about it, so maybe get your facts right before trying to set a record straight when you are wrong yourself. He got tagged with the message "yo wtf". others messaed their thoughts on the matter in their LR before he came in and replied to messages and that's where things kicked off in the LR. Who's responsible for that? Both sides In saying that, this entire thing is way overboard and carried on both both sides for what was such a small thing to start with. Shue gave shit to the team, not the players in a personal manner, he gave Cobra Kai first spot in this rankings. Everything after, FROM BOTH SIDES, is just gone on too long and whilst i don't usually make these posts on drama, i am because it just needs to stop for everyone sake please. Sleep on it, take it directly to the person you want to talk to, leave it off the forums and leave it off twitter. No one wins this argument, no one looks better or worse than the other, everyone gets dragged down with it so just lets be done with it EVERYONE. Edit - if anyone wants to say something to me about this, DM always open to talk to (10-14-2020, 10:51 PM)Z-Whiz Wrote: I feel like HO members should behave better and not join a DSFL locker room to talk shit to new members. Idk, call me crazy... I was tagged by someone asking "yo wtf." Thats asking for my opinion, so yes I went in and gave it. In none of my responses was I overtly rude, did I directly curse at anyone, or did I resort to any form of personal insult. I had an opinion and I defended it. The Minnesota LR on the other hand did get personal and did resort to name-calling and personal attacks. I don't quite care - I've been called worse - but if we're going to parse out situations its worthwhile to go in and actually look at what happened. My biggest issue with this entire ordeal is how its shocking that a member of HO should have an opinion. When we don't have opinions and keep to ourselves we're blasted for being insular and promoting group think. When we're transparent with our opinions and back it up with the data we have or our thoughts we're blasted for having opinions that don't line up with a certain sect of the league. At its core I gave my opinion about a situation. This article took shots at Dallas - direct ones that even the author admitted to taking. I came in and responded. Lets look at the situation: they bashed us for being 0-3. That's fair, we are. That being said there are always different situations. For example, an 0-3 team can still be having fun in their LR or still be developing players well, etc. I have a right to respond with my opinion about the situation, and at the core of my message is that. Sure, we're 0-3 lets all meme not winning in the DSFL. But that's not what the DSFL is about. If you want to talk shit thats fine but expect responses. I'm open to hearing criticism about my response to this, but please bring the receipts if you want to. What this seems to be about is someone being upset that a HO member has an opinion and is willing to stand by it. If you can find where I made this personal, please point it out and I'll acknowledge it. I can point out where the Minnesota players did - when a former DSFL GM and current expansion GM started calling me a dick in the Minnesota LR for having an opinion different from theirs that was critical of something he loves. I was only even involved in that discussion because I was tagged with someone looking for my opinion. Idk, call me crazy... We've had an official bachelorette event that was mocked in multiple leagues and resulted in troll creates during a time when we needed new recruits, a GM make a fuss over the choccy milk incident in PBE and then complain about their HO not being happy about it, watching someone with probably one of the most impressive punishment records in the league promptly become a GM, and countless other scenarios that probably make this look like peanuts (especially given that, from what I understand, he didn't actually attack anyone and responded with his point of view... albeit it's a strong view). This is getting blown out of proportion and people need to chill and stop DMing the shit out of each other or bothering HO about petty shit when they've clearly got other fun things to deal with. CC and I have agreed things need to "lighten up" so let's all just take a breath and think about more positive things. Like waffles. |
