Deep in the mountains of the Himalayan’s there lived a yeti. He was not just any yeti who lived in the mountains but in fact he was the yeti. He would become the greatest and most famous yeti that ever lived. Before we can get to his tale of fame, we must first hear the story of a boy and his dog. While we know much about the former NSFL Player Micycle McCormick, it may be a surprise to you that he in fact brought the Yeti himself back to Colorado. While the team had been established for some time, during the offseason after breaking his horrific kick ending foot injury, Micycle ventured off to do some soul searching, in addition to training as a replacement QB.
He decided to go for a hike, and made sure to tell nowhere where he was going. The first in a line of brilliant decisions by the Yeti quarterback. While hiking, he brought his dog Wolfie with him. It was here in these mountains that Micycle made an amazing discovery, one that would change the franchise for years. Micycle found an actual yeti.
Now you might be wondering why this matters? Well the current yeti on the logo for the Colorado Yeti is in fact based on this same new friend that Micycle found. When he first saw him he wasn’t sure what he had discovered, but he knew that it was something magnificent. Not allowing the injury he suffered to change his life, Micycle returned back to Colorado ready to take snaps and attempt to lead the team to victory (he was not successful).
What Micycle did leave behind, though, would change everything. The beloved pup that he had grown up with had bonded with the Yeti, and while it seemed strange, he did not want to part from his new friend Snowy. While it was hard for Micycle to say goodbye, he knew it wasn’t forever, and instead that he would be able to see his pup again real soon.
While Micycle went on to be a member of the Yeti, a general manager, and the eventual owner of the team, we need to now turn our attention to the pup that he left behind.
Wolfie McDummy is a pup like no other. Born officially with the name Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff, he became known as Wolfie to those closest to him. His time spent with Snowy the Yeti were some of his fondest memories, but as he spent time in the wilds of the Himalayas, something called to him back home. When news of Micycle’s ownership of the Yeti came to fruition, Wolfie pledged to head back and be with his old friend. Snowy wasn’t ready to part, however, as he had finally found someone he knew and understood. Instead of leaving Tibet on his own, Wolfie brought back the Yeti with him.
It was moderately nerve wracking at the time for the team, to actually be faced with a dog quarterback and a gigantic bigfoot yeti before them, but the team handled it like champs. While Wolfie often grew distracted as he got on in age, much preferring to catch the ball instead of throw it to his teammates, he led the Yeti to an Ultimus win and many more Ultimus appearances.
Snowy on the other hand, started to make sure that the new Yeti were always supplied with their needs, and left alone. While he would be a constant fixture in practices, it was not common knowledge to have Snowy involved with the public. Instead, he is the reason that the Yeti stadium still serves snow cones on cold days. Beware, however, the yellow ones. It isn’t lemon flavoring.
