I'd either like a less biased/more fair system or people with a brain to get a say please.
To be honest it would be pretty cool if there was a ballot that the entire league could vote on.
Edit: But thats just my opinion. [OPTION]FG Attempted 2042 6 Single Game

Maybe it's time to change the voting system itself, rather than the people voting.
The idea that awards voting is inherently biased is nothing new, but it's not really that avoidable aside from obvious (yet imperfect) solutions like "you can't vote for players on your team" ... but that would punish good players on teams with more awards voters, so you'd have to change how awards voters are selected etc etc. More hassle than it's worth. Unfortunately, it's not really possible to have a blind vote system where the voters don't know who they're voting for (and I'd argue that wouldn't be fair anyway; context matters, especially when the stats we have available are this limited) so your best bet is to opt for a system of voting that minimises tactical votes and might make bias a little less evident in the results. Try using a beatpath winner method (like Schulze or some variant) instead. When I have a bit more time later, I'll plug the ballot results into a beatpath calculator and see if that changes the results. I suspect it might. Could be wrong, though, because I suspect part of the problem is actually that the current system (afaik) is a strict order system, where if a voter actually thinks two nominees are equally good, they still have to put one above the other. As a result, some nominees are artificially ranked lower than they should be. EDIT: There's also the issue of who is on the ballot, I suppose. But that's a different problem, which is more complicated (or far easier, depending on your perspective) to solve. Easiest fix is to allow voters to write-in any eligible player, rather than follow a strict list, I suppose. But that opens up other issues. I impersonate a programmer for a living
