We have five games in the books with one more coming tonight. Seems like a good time to look at each position and see who is the bestest and who is just not getting it done.
First position up is Quarterback.
Number one : Jay Cue Arizona
While he is second in yards he tied for fifth fewest in attempts. He has the number one quarterback rating in the league by a huge margin. He has thrown 156 attemps with ninety four completions for 1,415 yards with a completion percentage just over sixty percent. He has twelve touchdowns with only two picks so far for a rating of 110.4. The only real knock on him this season is that despite playing this well they are still sitting with a losing record at two and three. But in his defense, his team has given up the second most points in the league so far. So, not really his fault his team is losing these games. As of right now it is a tight race between him and the next guy for quarterback of the year.
Number Two : Mike Boss Jr. Sarasota
One big thing about him, this is his rookie campaign in the big leagues. He is currently number one in yards, attempts and completions. Number three in touchdowns thrown, tied for third least picks thrown and third in quarterback rating. All of that as a rookie. Pretty impressive. He has thrown a massive 203 attempts with 125 completions for 1,572 yards with the highest completion percentage in the league through five games. He is sitting on ten touchdowns and only three picks with a rating of 95.9. Not only is he leading the league in passing, his team sits in first place in their conference with a record of four and one. So, take a rookie quarterback and have him throw the ball more than any other team in the league and boom, top passing offence and in first place after five. Rookie of the year? I think so at this point.
Number Three : Suleiman Ramza Orange County
Another good quarterback on a top team. Ramza has the third most passing yards on the sixth most attempts with the fifth best completion percentage. Leads the league in touchdowns and has the third highest rating so far. Ramza has thrown for 1,409 yards on ninety seven completions for a completion percent of 57.7. He has a league leading thirteen touchdowns with six picks thrown for a rating of ninety six point one. Ramza's team is currently sitting at four and one after starting four and zero, then suffered a tough loss to New Orleans Second Line just the other night. Not out of the race by any means just yet. It is only week six right now, so lots of things can change between now and the playoffs. Orange County has two big games coming up week seven and nine that should show where that conference is at.
That is it for right now. Will get to the other positions later!
