S22 is the best draft class in the ISFL. No doubt about it. I mean, it is the biggest draft class in the ISFL and the most popular viewed on their YouTube. There is no explanation anyone can do to prove to me that S22 is not the best draft class. You know what made the class even better? My addition to it. You see, my career started as a confused man not knowing what the hell to do. I looked at the other player creation pages and some were (S23) and some were (S22). Based on which number I liked the most, I picked S22. Unfortunately, it turned out that there were about 280 people also in the draft class aswell which I knew nothing about. So here I am after the DSFL S21 (or S22?) season watching the S22 ISFL Draft where my character would get drafted to a ISFL team that would start my career as an ISFL player! Since I joined late in the season however, it would take about an hour until I would get drafted. So its the last pick of the 9th round and guess who got drafted to the Ultimus champions in S22? Me! I would get drafted to NOLA while the people commentating in that draft would go like "He was one of those guys that joined super late into the season and been earning barely well for him." Inspirational quote for me right there.

Well, Red Arrow Jr. was lucky enough to experience a second draft experience, when he was drafted in the ISFL draft, and he was finally selected by a major league football team. For Red Arrow Jr., he went in the third round, which is not terrible, but he knows that every team that passed on him multiple times will regret it. He will become a generational QB, and a talent that will be unmatched. The power that he knows he will eventually possess will make him nearly unmatched in skill on the field and off the field. As for the team he was drafted to, Arrow is very happy to go to the Sabercats. They are an organization that is rooted in success, and they have won often and won recently. I am excited to see the plans that they have for Red Arrow Jr. in the future, and he will make them excited for the future that they have. Red Arrow knows that he will be down in the minor leagues for a while, and he is comfortable playing for the London Royals. They are a great franchise, and I love playing for them and have no problem doing so for many years. I am glad to have this opportunity in the league, and I will not let anyone down.
221 Words Prompt Wrote:The offseason is over and players are getting geared up and ready to make the team that drafted them proud. Write about your player's last draft experience - when did you get picked? Did you go to a team you were hoping for or expected to go to? If you don't remember your last draft because your player is older than Moses, pick a draft to write about and explain why it stands out to you - what impact did the draft have on you or your team? Having not been in the Copperheads' war room, the last draft I really experienced was when I was selected in Austin. I was selected 7th in the 2nd round, which was generally later than most mocks were having me picked. In a draft with so many people, though, it makes sense that everyone was picked later than you'd think they would be. I think the S22 draft class was about 3 times the size of the next one, so you're basically getting first round talent in the third round. As far as where I ended up, I was pretty surprised to get to Austin. That's mostly related to the mocks putting me in the second half of the first round - the Copperheads had traded up for the first overall pick which left them with nothing else until the second half of the second round. So, I was thinking that I'd end up on one of the teams with a need on the D-line that were picking there. But at the same time, once I got past the first round I wasn't shocked to get picked by Austin. They had talked with me a couple times, though at less of a deep level than some of the other teams I figured were more likely drafters. Still, it was very much a formulative experience in my NSFL/ISFL career and, seeing as I'm still in the copper and teal today, clearly a good one! My latest draft experience was just this previous ISFL draft. I am very new to sim leagues so this was my second ever draft experience after the DSFL draft! I was really excited and had some great conversations with scouts and GMs. A lot of users were putting out mock drafts (including myself) which fueled my excited for the draft. When draft day came, I was hoping to be selected 3rd overall to OCO. While I felt like I did not deserve to go so high, the combination of my great scouting interview and OCO's team needs made me believe and want to be drafted there. Unfortunately when they were on the clock, they selected the absolute standout user, Gragg. Although I was a bit disappointed I could see that OCO went with the best user available and that was clearly Gragg. They obviously made the right choice because they ended up getting another great user in Shrub who switched to LB for them and a WR in the 2nd round. As the 1st round continued I started to wonder which teams I could potentially go to. I felt relatively confident that I would be selected in the 1st round but a lot of other teams were pretty set on LB or they had other pressing needs. When Chicago called my name at 10th overall, I was quite surprised honestly. Through my research for my mock drafts, I had the hardest time pinpointing Chicago's needs and I even tried to pry for some information during my scouting interviews but I had little luck. Despite being surprised, I have loved my time in Chicago so far!
With the Eleventh overall pick (Third pick of the second Round) The London Royals Select Defensive End from Boise State University Lucid Dreams. The phrase I’ve been waiting to hear for the last two weeks has finally happened. Draft night couldn’t have come soon enough. I’m not sure if I was this excited for the Draft experience because this was my first Draft, for my first player, in my first ever sim league, or if the Draft experience is always this exciting but I was pumped. Going into draft night I truly had no idea what to expect. During the scouting process I never made it onto a single mock draft or draft list that I had seen released. There was one point I wondered “what if being new meant people were scared to take a chance”. I just had to hope the conversations I had with General Managers and Scouts convinced them that I was here to stay. I had three Teams that I thought had a general interest in my player The Minnesota Grey Ducks, London Royals, and Tijuana Luchadors. I was hoping that one of those teams would be the ones to pull the trigger. I just never thought it would come so early. I figured third round or fourth round would be the earliest id hear my name called.
My initial draft experience was only audible as I was driving at the time. Streaming YouTube through my cars stereo we rolled into the third pick of the second round. Immediately after hearing my name called came the pings and congratulatory messages. I’m not sure what being drafted by another team feels like but London makes you feel at home. When I was finally able to watch the Draft properly it was fantastic. The commentary added made it even more unique. Entering the Locker Room for the first time I was greeted with an awesome Draft Signature and a group of people who seemed genuinely excited to have me on the Team. The DSFL has been amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better first draft. This one will always be special. Go Royals!
This was a very special year for me because this seasons draft was my own ISFL Draft. It is so rewarding to have all the hard work you have put into your game and yourself to become the best you can be awarded with a name call on draft night. It was a fun recruiting process and getting to know all the teams. I think there are a lot of good teams in the mix and it will be interesting to see how things shake out over the next couple of seasons, for me I just got to keep training to be the best I can be so I can make an immediate impact after another season down in the DSFL. I was selected 6th overall by the New York Silverbacks. Initially in the scouting process, I thought that New York would be an awesome fit for me. They have an aging line, they are a team on the rise and have some really smart GMs in charge with championship experience on other teams. They like to run a 4-3 defense which leads to less double teams for me, they believe in extensive sim testing. All these things were pluses for me and I had a great conversation with Teyon in the scouting process. Then the team missed the playoffs so they locked down the number 6 picks. This had me worried because I felt I might slip in the draft due to my overall quietness in general channels. I like to think of myself as a silent assassin working behind the scenes to take down opposing QBs. The true is I dont have the time to be active in and check all the discord channels all the time and a team is going to have to be okay with that. New York was and they took a chance on me at number 6 and I couldn't be happy about the landing spot. Now let's get to work.
