Goodfortuntecoffee beat me to it, but I was going to suggest a billboard with a scannable QR code and the web address in plain text. Absolutely no idea how much this would cost but might be worth looking into.

Regular posts at least puts the league out there to a new audience, could help the league pop up in fan's Explore pages. New Player signup/creation should be linked in the bio.Expanding on this great idea to include an ISFL equivalent to popular NFL pages, such as "TheCheckdown" and "BR Gridiron" not only on IG, but maybe even twitter.
Kind of similar to the my last idea but, create a public Facebook page/group. This way, current members are tied to the league on FB, and their friends can see its an organization they belong to. Allows for more networking of the league and introducing it to large groups of people.
The obvious issue here would be the removal of the anonymity of a forum username, although belonging to the group on Facebook doesn't mean you have to tell anyone who you are on the forums. It's only meant to be spread around through large networks of friends. I'm not sure this would be put into action, but I thought it'd be worth considering.
I'm just gonna keep rolling here
A more expansive rewards system for recruitment. Every person who you recruited that lists you as their reference, and reaches 100TPE counts as 1 token. If they stay active and make it to the ISFL, you earn another token. Tokens can be spent on rewards such as: discounts on equipment, Dotts subscriptions for a season, PT passes, UW passes, hell even TPE or leage money outright. Prices would have to be balanced and measured, obviously. And not grandfathering people in. I don't know if there's an incentive in place for recruitment but something big and enticing like this, at the very least, couldn't hurt. We actually just started revamping and ramping up our Facebook page, and will be recruiting from sports/football related groups! Feel free to give us a like/follow here!

Another easy thing could be that twitter should have mandatory league tags.
I don't even think we should change anything with payment, because probably it would be hard for @Bayley to implement a system where it automatically recognizes tweets that don't have the @ (and he has enough work as it is), but let's at least encourage people that if they are tweeting something about the league for the payouts, to use the league or team @, so that if people from outside the league see them, they can easily access more info. |
