With Arizona's core of players getting older and older, the excitement of training camp is nearly nullified. You mean I have to do all this work for a measly couple TPE? Defensive Stars Tayshawn Crunk, L'Gazzy Burfict, Rich Tripplet, and Chuck Roth all carpooled together for training camp and were active participants on the first day to ensure they received their TPE but on each subsequent day, they had increasingly elaborate excuses to get out of doing any real work. On the second day, Chuck, being a big boy, sat down on a bench outside the team hotel and broke it. It took the other three lads to get him up and they had to take him to the ER to get checked out. Luckily for them, there is a bar near the stadium called the ER so they technically weren't lying to GM Z-Whiz about that one. On the third day of training camp, Gazzy and Crunk wanted to watch the Sunderland game, so their car mysteriously broke down outside of a pub, where they went in for help but ended up staying for a few rounds. The fourth day of training camp the gang was too hungover to practice so they said they all had migraines. On the fifth and final day of training camp, the boys actually intended to go to practice, but on their way into the facility, a fan shouted "Andrews deserved CBotY!" at Richie, so they proceeded to chase said man throughout downtown Phoenix to make him apologize. Unfortunately the heckler was still living in DDSPF16 and had 79 speed so he couldn't be caught. By the time they got bored, practice was over for the day, and training camp was closed. Oh well, maybe the boys will make it next season.
