@Big Edd recently retired from a very wild and interesting career; where he won 4 DT of the year and played on several different teams; Today we take a look back on one of the greatest and most controversial players to have graced the ISFL:
He was drafted in the 20th round in the DSFL draft by the Dallas Birddogs at the 155th pick in the draft; Edd was picked at a point where most of the users were mostly IA. Edd made a huge impact in Dallas; out earning his draft position and making his name known through his LR presence across leagues. Dallas was also the first place Edd requested a trade. According to old dallas war room stuff it seems like Norfolk were the only suitor but obviously no trade actually happened.
Edd made it to the DSFL draft as a highly touted prospect and ended up being taken by the Orange County Otters in the 2nd round of a massive reddit class and was a instant hit in Orange County, and making an Ultimus in his rookie year; His next year he started a new trend; winning his first ever DToTY sharing the award with Bubba Thumper; this would not be the last award for the young Edd but however it was the last thing he would do for the Otters
After a 2nd heart breaking playoff loss for the otter Edd and the Otters management came to blows and Edd requested a trade for the second time in his career; this time his request would be granted and he was sent to Sarasota in a trade that will be listed bellow:
This was the first trade that edd was involved in and it seems somewhat even as a trade; as Steco and Edd lasted on their respective team around the same time, with Edd obviously having more success in his short time; and both got somewhat solid players with their pick; but with Teddy retiring early and Bronco Mills being basically IA; means they both ended up with little value from the pick.
Edds time in Sarasota started with a lot of shock, with Edd making bets that he would win DToTY a second year, which most people laughed at. But in true Edd fashion he did not listen to the haters and ended up having another crazy season. Sarasota was winning a lot and Edd had 13 sacks on the season which was good enough for him to complete the back to back on DToTY awards. but Edd once again was a part of a team that choked in the playoffs. His second season in sarasota was not the the same level of team success with Sarasota losing 5/8 games to start the season. At this point Edd began to get frustrated and according to the stories from the locker room; Edd got into a physical aleraction with GM Frolf which ended with Frolf getting RKO'd. Edd ended up getting traded in the middle of the season to Honolulu for his 2nd trade in his career. (halariously Sarasota ended up winning out after trading edd and ended with a 11-5 record)
This was a surprisingly one sided trade with Sarasota getting two player who were a part of their ultimus winning season and are both still on their roster. With J'Vathon being the clear gem in this trade with him being above 1000 tpe going into his peak season.
Edds first time in Honolulu was very short lived; After his first half season where he made a pro bowl; he began to lose interest in his 2nd season in Honolulu, his sack numbers went down significantly for the first time in his career; and according to his own Wiki; he got more inactive and had no faith in the Honolulu at the time and he was no where near the conversation for DToTY for the first time since his rookie year. He requested a trade however this time he had significantly less suitors. But surprisingly the team which had beaten crushed his Ultimus dreams on both OCO and Sarasota decided to trade for him. The Colorodo Yeti had just suffered two Ultimus Losses and were looking for a gamble and Edd fit that need.
Edds time on the Yeti was not the instant Durant to the Warriors dream he had hoped for and he struggled hard his first season with edd getting very few sacks and the Yeti missing the playoffs. and requested a trade once again. However this time he recieved no interest. Edd and the Yeti was a messy relationship that was forced to be extended one more year. Edds last season with the Yeti was a shocking success for both the Yeti and Edd with Edd returning to his DToTY form (winning his third); and the Yeti returning to the playoffs and winning a game vs the Butcher before getting knocked out by the eventual champions and Edds former team the Sailfish. However Edd had burned enough bridges (mostly in minecraft) in Colorodo that it was decided it was best for both parties that this messy relationship was ended.
Despite being on 4 teams already; Edd was offically a FA for the first time in his career. Edd recieved a lot more offers this time but decided to return to Honolulu. His first season in Honolulu he seemed to be enjoying his craft for the first time since he left Sarasota. However Edd Decided to opt out one last time in order to hunt for a longer term contract. With rumors he would play Offensive Line he recieved a lot of attention once again however once again resigned with Honolulu; hoping to win another DToTY with Honolulu. He ended up Changing his name to BigEddi ForeverYeti, after a charity bid. Despite the distractions, Edd ended up winning DToTY for the 4th time but missing the playoffs. Throughout this season he seemed to have alienated most of his Hahalua teammates; but decided to play one more season in the Lu; announcing that he will be retiring at the end of this season.
Love him or Hate him Edd had a story book career despite being barely active for most of it. Edd is likely one of the most iconic players in the S20's and with 4 DToTY he is basically a HOF lock. Edd has one more chance at winning an Ultimus before his book closes
The Total Haul for Edd:
Steco Ocewilder (Retired; Peaked at 763 TPE DE)
Tre'Darius J'Vathon (1045 TPE WR)
Sigismund Sternenstaub(342 TPE FB)

Orange County

Steco Ocewilder (He was traded to New York in a package deal that brought back Lord Beerus to OCO) @soppychico
SAR S25 R3 (Turned into Bronko Mills; curently 311 tpe) @PaytonM34
This was the first trade that edd was involved in and it seems somewhat even as a trade; as Steco and Edd lasted on their respective team around the same time, with Edd obviously having more success in his short time; and both got somewhat solid players with their pick; but with Teddy retiring early and Bronco Mills being basically IA; means they both ended up with little value from the pick.

The 2nd Trade for edd was:
Sarasota Trades:
Big Edd
Honolulu Trade:
Tre'Darius J'Vathon @Rise of Smitty
Sigismund Sternenstaub @Mongoose87
This was a surprisingly one sided trade with Sarasota getting two player who were a part of their ultimus winning season and are both still on their roster. With J'Vathon being the clear gem in this trade with him being above 1000 tpe going into his peak season.
Honolulu Part 1
Edds first time in Honolulu was very short lived; After his first half season where he made a pro bowl; he began to lose interest in his 2nd season in Honolulu, his sack numbers went down significantly for the first time in his career; and according to his own Wiki; he got more inactive and had no faith in the Honolulu at the time and he was no where near the conversation for DToTY for the first time since his rookie year. His 3rd Trade offically was:
.
.
Honolulu Trades:
DT Big Edd
Colorodo Trades:
S26 Col 3rd round pick (Turned into Pope Francis 274 OL) @ThePope
Immanuel Blackstone @nunccoepi
.
.
WOW what a blockbuster trade that sent a Huge Name in Blackstone to Honolulu for the 3 time DEoTY Blackstone. Wait nevermind, in one of the funnier trade goofs in recent memory Colorodo accidently listed the wrong Player in the trade and Blackstone was offically a Hahalua for about an hour when the real player; Ismael Sanchez (400ish inactive DE) @Ismael8907 was sent for blackstone in a move of good faith. Colorado
Edds time on the Yeti was not the instant Durant to the Warriors dream he had hoped for and he struggled hard his first season with edd getting very few sacks and the Yeti missing the playoffs. and requested a trade once again.
