The New York Silverbacks are up against their biggest rival. It is 28-28 in overtime. Both teams have played stellar defense in overtime, and have punted the ball back and forth. The opposing team is in field goal range. The kick sails right through the uprights. The first and foremost question is who is New York’s biggest rival? We haven’t been around in the league for that long, but one clear team comes to mind. In the last couple seasons, every game between the Silverbacks and the Arizona Outlaws has been a TUF of war. Each matchup has been fierce, with the score being close most of the time. They are in the same division also, which means they play them twice a year. The Silverbacks also defeated the Outlaws in the Season 29 playoffs, helping cement the rivalry. With that out of the way, how does the locker room react? Our locker room generally handles losses pretty well with an “aw shucks we’ll get ‘em next time” attitude, but would that hold true with a loss of this magnitude? I would say yes, but with a little more disappointment than usual. Captain Rogers would definitely keep us motivated though. He is one of the most uplifting dudes in the league and is one of the team captains. I would probably be pretty disappointed at the loss, but it would make for a tweet to fill up my daily quota so I would probably be fine. Overall, I think we would just take the loss in stride and move onto next week. If this is a playoff game and there is no next week, then I don’t know I guess we’ll all be drinking our sorrows away.

2x DSFL TEotY with Tijuana Luchadores.
So what should I be basing a rival on. How close they are to Arizona? What standard of football they play? I mean, the biggest "rival" the Outlaws have had over the last few seasons could only be one group. The game officials. And with a roster as packed as the Outlaws, the only cause of an OT loss, or even a game going into OT, would be the officials.
And because of that, well, the impact on the Locker Room doesn't really differ from when they, say, put 51 points on the board against the reigning Ultimus champs. The group is very tight, relaxed and the players are always joking around. Sure, sometimes a Rookie can come in be a little off the pace but that's why they are so lucky to have seasoned veterans like Nakamura to set them straight and kick back with. Players like him have been there, done that, league legends. Now there are still some big voices in the Locker Room and when a defeat happens (and they happen, I don't see any rings on my fingers) these guys do like to take a stand, stick on some tunes and order take out. Shout out to the GMs for always footing the bill, even when the Defense take it upon themselves to eat their own body weight in wings (see Burfict isnt the only greedy one). At the end of the day, the Outlaws love to win football games. But a defeat doesn't break that winning mentality.
PT 30-4 Tough loss
All right here we are another rivalry matchup with our inner divisional rival the Tijuana luchadors. last season we split the series with them both winning a matchup last season but then they beat us in the playoffs to go on to play for ultamini. so here we are looking for another round with the other top team in our division. after this overtime loss the locker room is pretty bummed. first thing we don't really like losing to Tijuana but it hurts us in the standings as they are neck and neck with us again for the playoffs. even though home field advantage didn't help last season we're still looking to try to get that move deal bans because it looks like we're going to be playing them again. so in the locker room old dexteria steps up and gives a rousing speech. the rookie running back and offensive team captain has been an absolute focal point this season. he's going to get up there tell us we need to keep working hard getting better each and every week and that this season after this whole regular season overtime loss we just got against them and that we're going to get our revenge in the playoffs like they did to us last season. Dex has been a great team captain and as our starting running back is starting to try and add a whole new dimension to our high-powered passing game. After a great speech the team is excited to get back to work and work towards our playoff revenge. Code: 265
When people have asked who Chicago’s rival is for the last several seasons, I haven’t had trouble explaining who that is. It feels like things are starting to shift, though. When I first joined the Butchers, it was unquestionably the Liberty. Almost everyone on our roster had a NTC to PHI. They started to get bad right as we got good though, so the rivalry kind of died there. Next, it was the Sailfish, because we met in the playoffs 3 seasons in a row, I believe. But now we’ve fallen off while they’ve remained near the top of the standings. I don’t know that we necessarily have a rival at this point. But I think that Philly and Baltimore are probably going to be fighting for the position of Chicago’s next big rival. Philly is a couple of seasons ahead of us in terms of trajectory, and Baltimore is just about right on track with us. I think that if we lost a really tough game to a rival, Wasrabi Gleel would probably be going around making sure everyone’s got their head up, while Juan Domine would be giving a speech to keep our spirits up and keep us motivated for the next game. These are the two big leaders of our defense, so I’m sure that they would both be playing their own part to keep the team on track!
