Since Doc Holliday is new to the Tijuana Luchadores, he hasn't had as much time to grow his disdain for other teams as some of this other teammates. However, there are two DSFL teams that come to mind when thinking about who we want/need to beat the most: the Dallas Birddogs and Bondi Beach Buccaneers. I've been informed that Bondi Beach is probably the Luchadores biggest rival, but this season Dallas is the team we need to beat the most. We currently are tied with the Birddogs for 1st in the division, but we won't allow that to be the case for much longer. Since we have experienced a loss to them (albeit not as close as this post hypothesizes) we have experience dealing with that situation. It's definitely a sour feeling. A mix of disappointment in ourselves and unbridled rage that we were bested by an inferior team. In the locker room we're all "ok we will get them next time boys" but by the next meeting with them it's all, "put these damn birddogs down, these are our hunting grounds". So, we are graceful in defeat but before each game we are out for blood. I personally think it's a great balance. Doc hates losing simply because he isn't used to it. His life is a winning culture, so loss is somewhat of a foreign concept. That's the reality for rookies, however, as most have been big fish in a small pond their whole lives. The one thing Doc makes sure to do after any loss is learn from it and take that knowledge into the next game.
