I'll be honest I don't even know who our rival actually is....oh wait wait. I'm being told it's the Royals. I guess that makes sense y'know expansion teams and all. Look I respect the Royals, love the color scheme and all. But if you try to get a first down and you're in my sights I will end you. Anyways as you can imagine a loss in OT against the Royals would be absolutely heartbreaking. Especially in OT. A game where you're just getting stomped at least you know it's gonna be a loss and you can just kind of have a laugh about it and move onto next week. But an OT loss takes all the wind out of your sails in an instant, boom done. Dallas locker room would be pretty deflated after a loss like that. Either that or just a lot of cussing. My guess is that team captain Ioe Torrent would be the one to step up and rally the team. I'm sure he'd have a passionate speech about how tough we played and how he still got three sacks and that's what really matters. That would bring everyone back into the spirit and ready for next week. Orpheus would of course crack open his craft beer closet to share a round with the team and then we'd all go out for bbq and bowling.

Personally, I don't know who our rivals are. Most likely, I would have to say Sarasota, as they have been the top of the NSFC, and are probably our top competition into getting into the Ultimus. An overtime loss to Sarasota (or Berlin, for that matter) would be absolutely devastating, especially this late in the season. We would have to rally around our veteran players. Melvin Murder-Moose and Adelie De Pengu come to mind. The defensive leaders will keep our spirits up with a rousing speech, possibly a beautiful rendition of "My Heart Will Go On" by Canadian icon Celine Dion. Of course, We would absolutely see Richard Gilbert and William Lim hit us with the cupid shuffle or a little Kid N' Play action. I think Drip would also help out. He is always there to add a little bit of spice, and some jazz hands of course. See, this Colorado Yeti team has been dealt a tough hand over the past few seasons in terms of sim luck, so I think we'd be able to keep our heads about us and bounce back quickly. An OT loss would hurt, especially against one of our rivals, but in true sasquatch form we'd be able to brush it off.
The Sailfish's unambiguous largest rival for as long as I've been in the league has been the Colorado Yeti. When I was first starting out in the league they were the dominant team in our division while we were the clear 2nd best, and we were never quite able to surpass them to take the division lead. After Colorado's mini-dynasty faltered a bit and the Sailfish matured into a great team in their own right, we still had plenty of high-stakes close games with them to keep that tension up. Unfortunately, this does mean that I've experienced a few times being on the losing end of a close fight with our biggest rivals before.
Luckily, I can say that the team is never one to sulk after one of these losses and we have plenty of people that will step up to inject some positive vibes into a disappointed atmosphere in the Fishe locker room. It starts with the general managers of the team, as Frost, Sakro, and now Mojo have all been the types to stay hopeful and focused on the opportunities up ahead for the team. But even besides them, we have plenty of leaders on the team like tmuse, abh, Boogie, Stumpy, and many others that don't hesitate to highlight the positives of the game with good individual performances or other things that can still make us smile. While we'll of course be disappointed, I never have doubts that the locker room will rally from any upsetting defeat we face and be ready to give it all in our future games. Code: 264 words
Dallas is our biggest rival. I think the locker room is active full of sad people and the occasional toxic person (We all have 1 im sure) who is saying rigged sim and wants to change sim and gets blocked by many people. I think I would react semi positively being angry at first and saying this sucks im angry at DDSPF being DDSPF, but I know that we play them more in the future and say we brought it to OT and lost next time lets win in OT, then win in regulation. I think the people that are the most positive is mostly everyone, at least in the private channel. I am yet to see some severely negative people, I think people will be positive and we will be ready for the next game. And this will strengthen the rivalry and now on to the main discord. There will be arguments bickering but things will calm down in a few hours, but this act makes peoples reputation go down. Anyway thats my take on what will happen and it wont be forgot to time no if this happens the blocks will stay, people will be mad for months but it will be mentally and not last out at them and bring this up.
