Ready to grade- we are all done guys, thanks for the great questions!
Hello everyone, feel free to shoot any questions you have for me this way. You can check out my wiki here if you would like more information about me! I am a CB in this years draft, I set the ACC record for INTs at Louisville, and I'm often regarded as one of the fastest players in CFB! AMA!
Also, if any GMs want to talk, feel free to message me here or on discord (I'm in the rookie discord as dtg108#0604)
3 Questions from @negs:
1) How are you preparing for the draft?
For starters, I'm trying to put myself out there for teams and make sure they know who I am and that I'm ready to go. But I think that most importantly, I'm trying to put in the work and doing all of the activities and PTs that I can to go ahead and get my upgrades in so that I'm ready to go for my new team as soon as the season starts. I want any team that's looking at me to know that I can put the work in and be a starter and contributor from week 1, and I'll have the TPE to back it.
2) Who do you model your game after?
There are a lot of DBs that I love to watch and that just make plays. Minkah [Fitzpatrick] for example, even though he's a FS, just the way that he's always around the ball when it's in the air, how he can always get close and always finds himself in the middle of a play or making a play. Another guy I love to watch is Xavien Howard, just the way he can track the ball and even when he looks like he's out of a play he always finds his way back in. I'm not a huge guy and I'm not a big hitter, so I make up for it in coverage and speed.
3) What’s most important to you in a team dynamic?
Winning is an obvious answer but more than that, I like seeing how other players work off of each other and make plays off of each other. When a defense can play together as a unit, that's when they really shine well. Communication in the game is important, but being close off the field obviously can lead to making plays like that as well.
2 Questions from @MMFLEX:
1) What will be the toughest transition from CFB to DSFL?
I believe that game speed is the biggest thing. The guys on the next level are just that, they're on another level. And so getting myself up to pace with those guys is important and is one reason I'm so committed to grinding out PTE before the season starts - so I can be prepared and compete with the best guys on that elite level.
2) Why are you the best CB in this season's draft?
I'm a numbers guy, so I think numbers speak for themselves on a stats level, but on a more general line of thought- the work I put in is unmatched, in my opinion. There are a lot of great guys in this draft and guys I look forward to competing with, but I think when it comes to time and effort- to upgrading, to working- I think that can be what sets me apart. We saw it when I was injured in my time in the Ville, but I can put in the work to get back to where I was. And I look forward to proving that on September 1.
2 Questions from @g2019
1) What will you bring to the league that others can't?
I think that I answered this sufficiently in the response directly above.
2) What do you want to be known for in the DSFL?
It's simple- I wanna be the best. I wanna be the best guy on the field and when I get to the end of my career, I wanna look back and I want people to say "that guy is the best to ever play the game." And I think I'm gonna be there.
2 Questions from @SchwarzNarr
1) What are you hoping for in the future of your career?
Well I'd like to look for the short-term now, but really I want to win. I love defense- and I don't just say that because it's the position I play. People think I'm weird because I like to watch defense more than offense. But I wanna be that guy that comes in and elevates a defense, and makes it the best defense in the league. I wanna be the #1 guy on a number 1 defense. Stats, interceptions, all that are nice but I want to win. What's the first thing people talk about when they talk about Brady? It's not his numbers, it's "7 rings". I wanna be that guy.
2) What is your favorite frog?
Barking Tree Frog. I was really hoping someone would ask this question.
3) What has been the most enjoyable piece[of the league] so far?
I was actually talking to another GM about this but my favorite part of football is the chess match going on between teams. The FO stuff, the trades, the draft. So I love the "in-depth"ness of the league and how it works compared to other simulations.
3 Questions from @Asked Madden:
1) Are there any QBs you're really looking forward to go up against?
I admit I don’t know many of the players so far- it’s something I’ve been trying to learn so I can know who I’m playing against, but I can tell you this- I’m happy to intercept all of them equally.
2) What 7 items would you take on a desert island and why?
I would only need one item- an airplane to get me home. But apart from that, assuming there’s no electricity, I’d be taking a good (long) book, some fire starter, my golf clubs, and I think that’s all I need to be happy for quite a while.
3) Where do you see your career in 5 years?
I see myself with 5 rings. Nah, but seriously, I just wanna be that guy for my team. I don’t need the money, I just wanna be the one my team can depend on and know that the defense is in good hands. I want QBs to fear me. I want to be the best.
