If I had to pump Angus' tires for a second I'd say it's important to think about potential (expressed by post count). While you can hit your TPE goals with something like 4 posts a week, and there is a diminishing return since once you've gotten your 5 TPE from checkin and training and bought all the equipment you're kinda done, it wouldn't surprise me to see some of the guys who made good initial builds fall behind if they don't have that toehold in the forum.
I can see a team valuing a guy who has twice the posts of the next guy is what I'm saying here. Hopefully just enough that he's the 2nd or 3rd guy off the board.
Agreed on many points. The GMs have a tough decision with trying to figure out who has the staying power, who has the build, who fits the scheme, who isn't really weird and creepy and where to find the value. Combine that with the issue of having a terribly shallow pool of linemen and that this sim is uncharted territory.....I don't envy them.
Not to mention where we get drafted compared to others makes almost no difference beyond some bragging rights, we're all going to start. The real important part is what we do to make our teams better.
