LeBong's first ISFL Sack
Time flies when you're having fun, and I've had my fair share of fun so far in the ISFL. I've had fun roughly 8 times so far since I've joined the league. My favorite moment over the past 10 seasons is easily the rise of the Sarasota Sailfish. People looking down on them because they're an expansion franchise in Florida. The media saying that they'd be doomed to fail just like most sports teams in the Sunshine state. The play on the field told a completely different story. The Sarasota Sailfish being led by Mike Boss Jr. is the icing on the cake for me. Junior having a solid career for himself is one of the biggest reliefs I've had as well, there is a lot of pressure when your dad and uncle are in the Hall of Fame. As long as he stays strong towards the end of the line, Boss Jr. could be making a strong case for his own Hall of Fame induction. A two-time Ultimus winning QB, Rookie of the Year, multiple-time Pro-Bowler; things are really looking great for the family name to maintain its pride. The moment isn't over. Sarasota is still a top team in this league and there's a chance the story has an interesting ending.

I've got a lot of great memories from the decade of the 20s. Early on in S21 I was a part of the Ultimus Champion winning New Orleans Second Line with my first player David Rector. I was a part of 3 Ultimus teams in the 20s for the Second Line, but this was the only one that was able to win the whole thing. That was such a great team with some really memorable players. Tom Hanks and Marcella Toriki were a beastly pair of running backs. We had Stan Antonio at the helm who was a great QB with Austin McCormick at tight end. The great linebacker duo with Quenton Bode and Sloth, and of course fair rubs on the offensive line. What a memorable team and great game. I wish we couldve won a couple more, but it was exciting winning one. Later in his career Rector had one of the greatest if not the greatest season for a corner back of all time. It was so good that I even finished second in MVP vote, which tells you a lot as it's practically impossible to win MVP as a defensive player. That was one of the years that the Second Line made it to the Ultimus and lost and I think a big reason we were able to get there was due to how good of a shut down corner I was that season. I'm not sure if I did quite enough to make the Hall of Fame, but I think it was close. Obviously the stats are a lot different with the new sim, but I think I was one of the best corners to play in the old sim, which hopefully will mean something when I'm eligible for Hall of Fame. I didn't even mention that I was the GM for NOLA for about half of the seasons of the 20s. Had a lot of fun doing that.

Looking back over the seasons from S20-30, there is a specific team in that time period that I look back on fondly. The S27 was a very close race, with the two best teams being the Sailfish and Butchers. The S27 Butchers had one of the strongest season's in the leagues history. In one of the most competitive seasons, they had one of the best defenses of all time. Leading the league in sacks, allowing the fewest amount of points by over 30, and having one of the most efficient offenses leading them to a 12-4 record. In all of their losses, they only lost by a combined 17 points across their four losses. Having three maxed out corners on the roster, and three maxed out defensive linemen as well, you couldn't run on them, and you couldn't pass on them either, they were primed for a playoff run, had the Sailfish not won the tie breaker by scoring more points than them. Unfortunately, the Butchers offense went silent in the playoffs as they were eliminated by the Yeti. With most of their roster returning, they were more than ready to run it back, had it not been for the unluckiest season in possibly ISFL history, where the Butchers defense collapsed and allowed almost 200 more points than the previous season's total. Unfortunately, the Butchers never got to have another run at the Ultimus, but hopefully in a few seasons, this rebuilding roster can carry them there.
Having been in the league for over 1 calendar year now, I have had the time to make a lot of good memories with friends and teammates in this league. While more of my good times have happened off the field, I think I would be remiss if I did not talk about by far my most memorable on-field moment which is winning the Ultimini my rookie season with the London Royals. Truth be told, I was a bit nervous joining the league. Despite what you may think, I am not and outwardly social person but was quickly put at ease by the wonderful people in the Royals locker room. Over the course of the season, I got more and more involved with the team and game planning, eventually getting added to the war room. By this point, I was hooked. However, with the season culminating in an Ultimini victory over the Norfolk Seawolves, London's first by the way, it sealed the deal with my love for the league.
Of course, there have been other memorable moments during my time here. For example, just last season I set the single game record for passes defended with 9 total. That certainly was a great achievement. Getting to, but not winning, the Ultimus in my first ISFL season was also pretty great. I look forward to seeing what future seasons in the league hold for me and my player. Thank you to @enigmatic, @Kyamprac, @mithrandir, @Mooty99, and @Number 82 for some of the sigs in this rotator.
I've only been in the league for around 4 or 5 seasons I think so my knowledge about the seasons in the beginning part of the decade is minimal. It's no secret I joined this league to understand why my boyfriend needed to watch games or submit strats when we were out or why he always seemed to be glued to Discord. However, I've had plenty of great memories thus far. From the start, I have been able to meet so many incredible people in the league and have even had the chance to meet some in person. My favorite memory though was when New York won their first Ultimus. Although I wasn't on the team at the time, I was extremely hyped for it. I even wore green for good luck! My boyfriend was at work and wasn't able to watch the game so I was sending him play by play updates. It was by far the most fun game I had seen. To see him get that win after being a part of the league for over a year was amazing. This is probably the sappiest thing I have ever written for a PT and will be one of the few times I really do something like this but seeing all of his work come to fruition was rewarding given how much he deserved it.
These last three seasons have been amazing and I can’t wait to celebrate ten seasons in this League. As a player it’s hard to top winning the Ultimini but my most memorable moment I think would be the strip sack fumble with the scoop and score recovery in the playoffs against what has become our rival Portland team. The scoop and score touchdown was the start of the London Royals comeback in a game we would eventually win. That game would lead us to an impressive Ultimini win over Tijuana. As a user there are definitely a few moments that stand out. The first one that comes to mind is actually meeting a member from this league. Through the friendship we developed in Philadelphia Negs and I met up and went bowling. No matter what Negs said he’s not a better bowler he lies and struggles to accept defeat. Like I said when I started, finding this league has been amazing and the community that comes with it has been one of my favorite things and has led to some great moments in the Locker Room I look forward to the people I’ll meet and the moments and memories that will be made over the next ten seasons.
