In a sim week where there were a lot of weird finishes to games and also some upsets, it’ll be interesting to see how teams turned out on the twitterverse. I’m hoping to see some shifts in the ranks and also hope to see if any of the teams changed up anything differently from last week.
The weeks will be based on the ISFL/DSFL S31 schedule as laid out on the website. This week will be September 20th (ISFL Week 2) - Sunday September 26th.
Coming in the 8th spot we have… no surprise.

After looking at the KCC twitter page, I mean we have the same result after the first week, another week of no tweets whatsoever. I’m starting to wonder when will @"AirCrou" take action on this team lead of the twitter page? Once again this week, the Coyotes look to make a clean sweep and moving forward, it will still be the same until this change up in the team's media department changes. Each week that this team continues to tweet nothing, my comments about them will continue to be smaller and smaller to the point where I may just eliminate them out of the rankings permanently.
For the second week in a row, you readers who struggle with math get an easy one with a final tally of 0 tweets per day. Hopefully aircrou will give the readers and myself some solace on what may be happening moving forward.

While looking at the Tijuana twitter page, I think I was correct last week in saying we may have the most boring twitter page other than the team that has 0 tweets. For a team that is currently 4-0 after week 2, I want to see them start pumping out the hype and praise for all the hard work their players have put in this past off season in a tough south division. I try to stay away from last year's ranks when comparing to this year but the consistency is nowhere near where it was last year. This will have no effect on the rank currently but it is just sad to see pretty much nothing from a team that has received a lot of good luck from a sim we all dislike at times. 2 weeks is not really a trend but after next week, we may start seeing one if this team does not start putting their feet in the right direction on social media.
Over the course of the week, Tijuana had 2 tweets, and to be quite frank, they were both terrible one line tweets with no excitement/gifs. Not much else to say other than a score of 0.29 tweets per day is what they finished with. They did double their score last week I guess so maybe they have something to cheer about there. Once again we are seeing no retweets from this team, how long can this trend last from a team that follows over 300 accounts.

After an amazing week 2 from a team that beat 2 division rivals and the defending champs, they are slowly starting to get back to their average makeup in the twitterverse. They racked up a total of 5 total tweets which were all on the same day. Hopefully their sim team does not look like their media team and blow their loads early because tweeting is not a competition of getting as much out as you can in one time. For a team in the strongest division in my opinion, they are starting to try and create some rivalries with some name calling which does get them some extra points in my book. If they are looking to be at the top of the sim league and twitter ranks, they will have to be raving about their weekly success all week to make it known they are here to win it all this season.
Over the past week, Dallas had 5 total tweets which was one of the average scores of the week at 0.71 tweets per day. The creativity is starting to add up for this team compared to last year which is a good sign and even retweeting the Duck gif of ‘he’s already dead’ after beating them in a close game. If the daily consistency starts adding up, there will definitely be a change of rank for them next week.

In a difficult week 2 after 2 losses and a tie after defeating the defending champs in week 1, the Pythons had an average media week for the second week in a row. With only 4 tweets to show for, they seemed to have negativity in a couple of them which does not show well for a team that aspires to be division champs. One thing to look forward to from this team next week is to see whether they are tweeting anything different other than game day hype or talking about the results. I want to see how the players feel in some re-tweets after a tough week or commenting about other parts of the league, let’s not make this a one dimensional space.
Over the past week, Portland once again had 4 total tweets which is an average score of 0.57. I’m expecting this team to be able to ramp it up in week 3 after some much needed wins for them. They continue to be average in the tweet scorecard but with other teams on the rise compared to last year, they may not be able to compete in the top half of the rankings unless they step it up in most aspects.

After a terrible week 2 for the Norfolk Seawolves, the team and the twitter page got awfully quiet after losing two tough division matchups and against a big name from the north division. After a hard hit to the ground during the first week, this team is looking to take advantage of some easier matchups in the north division this week. Like some other teams in the ranks today, I’m looking for something a little different other than game day hype, especially from a team that has showcased many of these things previously. A team that has a championship on their minds, I’m hoping to see whether this week 2 collapses the season which may start to bring out some negativity from this media page. In the only team that went down a rank this week, let’s see how they can mix it up on a daily basis.
Over the past week, Norfolk had 3 total tweets which is one of the lower scores this week at 0.43 tweets per day but this number can easily be inflated by counting retweets if there were any once again. Let’s see if this team can pull out some week 3 wins and showcase online to all teams what they are made of.

After a hot start to the rankings for them last week breaking into the top half, the Bucs did not seem to have too much going on during the second week of the regular season but did have more going on than most middle of the pack teams. For a team that is looking to be near the bottom of the pack in the south division, they will need to keep morale up to keep this team motivated in their earnings, especially when losing to teams who barely win games.
After 2 blowouts, one including the win for a lowly Royals in a 41-3 stomp then a surprising win against one of the tougher Pythons team, I’m interested how their gif game gets going since they seemed to be pretty excited after that one win. Even though they tweeted more times this week than last week in total, making sure they are staying consistent and not spamming the time feed in a couple days will show up in their ranks moving forward.
Over the past week, BBB had 6 total tweets which is 0.86 but can be improved with a few tweets throughout the off days. One thing to look forward to is they started doing some retweeting which is what partially hurt them in their rank last week.

At this point, I’m not sure if this is laziness or great marketing from a Royals team who once again has had a slow start to the regular season but not so much in the twittersphere. They racked up a whopping 14 retweets showcasing 3 different players from their team. The knock against them last season was that they started to slow down after a rough start to the season but they seem to be sticking to it with loads of team engagement. One thing that does make me nervous about this team is that the original content from the team may not be there. I’m looking to see over the next couple weeks how the team can start pumping out their own content and adding in the extra stuff at the same time to keep them higher in the ranks.
For the second week in a row, I realize that the majority of their tweets are coming from re-tweets from their players, but these players must be earning bank and getting great engagement and hype from ISFL teams. This is starting to look like a continuation for a team that is looking to once again get back into the win column consistently. Over the past week, London had a combined 15 tweets which is a total of 2.14 tweets per day which is near the highest but by taking out the retweets, it is only at 0.14 tweets a day. I am still hyped to see how this team will maintain a high ranking over the coming weeks.

Coming in the top spot for the second week in a row, the grey ducks continue to show our twitter head aircrou what every team should look like on a weekly basis. If this guy does not get a raise, I may have to give them some of my salary for the upcoming season. On an average week for the ducks in the sim, they continue to add different things onto their page that no teams do, whether it is team polls, or a new one for this week, LIVE TWEETING DURING THE GAME. I’m not really sure what I’m going to be looking out for week to week for this team anymore since they are clearly still holding onto the top spot, but I’m sure we would love to see some more retweets from a team that loves the self hype. I mentioned I was going to be keeping an eye on the consistency of tweeting from this team and they managed to miss no days this week. Congrats on another top finish for the Ducks.
Over the past week, the Ducks had 33 combined tweets which is potentially one of the highest scores we may see this season at 4.71 tweets per day. Although a lot of these tweets did come in a couple days during the live game and with the polls, the creativity is going to be what keeps this team on top.
Week 2 Conclusion
In conclusion, after looking through all the 8 team twitter pages, I am not surprised how some teams fared out since it seems to be a continuation for them with the top and bottom teams. The middle of the pack teams this season are going to be the interesting parts of the ranks over the next few weeks of this season since they seem to be the teams with the least amount of consistency in their tweeting. Finally if you are looking for some average tweets like from what we see on the Luchadores page, come find me @JohnnyPatey11.
