I will admit, I was a very late adopter of the Dotts cards. I was used to very old systems of it and the PBE system and it never really interested me enough to get informed about it. Once I found out how extensive it is here, I was kind of hooked. Especially once I pushed for them to make a checklist, so you could see which cards you owned and which cards you don't have yet. I had only really started getting into collecting cards in real life a couple weeks before that, so this was essentially an entirely new hobby for me.
Despite being new at it, I figured I wanted to do it. Sadly, my bank account is not as happy with me about it, which is why I need to earn some money very soon, hence this article and others. Obviously it is mainly a money sink and not any actual value in getting these cards but it is still a really cool thing to have and I am not regretting my decision to start collecting them, even if it does mean more work needs to be done writing articles.
First, let's take a look at how many cards I so far have collected in each category:
Arizona Outlaws - 53 of 201
Austin Copperheads - 25 of 150
Baltimore Hawks - 47 of 208
Berlin Fire Salamanders - 16 of 119
Chicago Butchers - 32 of 146
Colorado Yeti - 57 of 225
Honolulu Hahalua - 27/123
New Orleans Second Line - 78 of 193
New York Silverbacks - 20 of 145
Orange County Otters - 48 of 175
Philadelphia Liberty - 57 of 197
San Jose Sabercats - 39 of 212
Sarasota Sailfish - 27 of 173
Yellowknight Wraiths - 60 of 272
First off, the difference in all the teams is interesting but I guess it also makes sense. I got a lot of Second Line players through trades from some very generous people!
Here is the teams by percentage of cards I own:
New Orleans Second Line - 40%
Philadelphia Liberty - 29%
Orange County Otters - 27%
Arizona Outlaws - 26%
Colorado Yeti - 25%
Baltimore Hawks - 23%
Chicago Butchers - 22%
Honolulu Hahalua - 22%
Yellowknight Wraiths - 22%
San Jose Sabercats - 18%
Austin Copperheads - 17%
Sarasota Sailfish - 16%
New York Silverbacks - 14%
Berlin Fire Salamanders - 13%
Other than the Second Line I haven't really traded, so I think this is a really interesting ratio. I wonder what causes the differences really, but I guess that is hard to figure out.
Let's look at some other categories:
Team Logos, I have 0 of 28. That makes me sad! Would love to own one of these cards.
Here are the different categories of color of card and other special categories:
Backup - 176 of 453
Starter - 106 of 405
Star - 85 of 458
All-Pro - 116 of 351
Legend - 19 of 119
Award - 11 of 228
Hall of Fame 1 of 54
Ultimus Champion - 16 of 152
Holograph Expansion - 0 of 27
Autograph Rookie - 12 of 82
Fantasy Kings - 0 of 6
Captain - 26 of 127
Team Logo - 0 of 28
Unique - 1 of 28
Charity - 17 of 31
Again some really interesting numbers there.
Among just the top categories that are the like "base colors" here is the percentage:
Backup - 39%
Starter - 26%
Star - 19%
All-Pro - 33%
Legend - 16%
This makes me wonder why All-Pro seems to be such a common category for me. Very interesting.
Let's look at some specific cards in particular that I am happy with.
The most unique card (pun intended) is my unique card. It is a card I think I got from Simo and it is a Unique 1 of 3 card of Franchise Icon Stan Francisco (my own player). It is a really special awesome card.
I really like the captain cards personally, the little captain jersey bit is super awesome. So which team's captains have I already gotten?
Achtfunf (Berlin Fire Salamanders) - S28
Ben Slothlisberger (New Orleans Second Line) - S28
Ben Slothlisberger (New Orleans Second Line) - S29

China Fujiwara (Honolulu Hahalua) - S28
Cobra Kai (Honolulu Hahalua) - S29
Daniel Foster (Yellowknife Wraiths) - S28
Dogwood Maple (New York Silverbacks) - S28
Heath Evans (Orange County Otters) - S28
Jamar Lackson (San Jose Sabercats) - S28
James Angler (Sarasota Sailfish) - S29
Ke'oke'o Kane-Maika'i (Honolulu Hahalua) - S28
Magnus Rikiya (Colorado Yeti) - S29
Makoa Mahi'ai (Baltimore Hawks) - S29
Mark Walker (Yellowknife Wraiths) - S28
Mason Blaylock (New Orleans Second Line) - S28
Pete Miller (Arizona Outlaws) - S28
Pete Miller (Arizona Outlaws) - S29
Richard Gilbert (Colorado Yeti) - S29
Rusty Rucker (Colorado Yeti) - S28
Silver Banana (Colorado Yeti) - S28
Tatsu Nakamura (Arizona Outlaws) - S28
Tatsu Nakamura (Arizona Outlaws) - S29
Tree Geldmann (Chicago Butchers) - S28
Tsuvu Asui (Philadelphia Liberty) - S29
Very interesting mix of teams and players!
Which rookie autos do I have?
Ace Savage
Albert Ruschmann
Bean Beanman
Chevy Bronko
Chunt the Badger
Demon Jaxson
James Wilkinson
Juan Domine
Madison Hayes
Marlon Brando
Mongo
Quentin Button
I was also curious how many cards exist that are of one of my players and how many of them I own.
Julian O'Sullivan - Star (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Julian O'Sullivan - Anniversary First Team (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Julian O'Sullivan - Hall of Fame (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Medicinal Toblerone - Backup (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Medicinal Toblerone - Autograph Rookie (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Medicinal Toblerone - Backup (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Medicinal Toblerone - Star (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Medicinal Toblerone - All-Pro (New Orleans Second Line) - owned already
Stan Francisco - All-Pro (New Orleans Second Line) - owned already
Stan Francisco - Unique (New Orleans Second Line) - owned already
Stan Francisco - Unique (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
Stan Francisco - Unique (New Orleans Second Line) - not owned yet
And that is all of them. Obviously the other two Unique cards I am unlikely to ever own but I do own one of them. That being said, I miss MOST of the cards for my own players so if anyone does have any of these (or any other cards they would like to trade) please do reach out to me on discord! I would definitely want to own all of the ones of my player. I am also surprised there is no card for O'Sullivan on the Otters but I guess cards only started later on.
On the other hand the player's card I own most is none other than Safety Damien Arnold, which is kind of ironic since I was the GM who signed Arnold as an IA to the Second Line in my first season as New Orleans GM. I already own his card a staggering six times.
Overall I apparently own 913 cards.
We shall see how this continues but yeah as I said, if you want to trade, please reach out
