(S33) PT #5 - Bot of the Season

We don’t have any bots on the roster in Philly?!  Maybe I’m reading this wrong but I had no idea we were bot-less this year.  That must be why we’re struggling,  How can the sim support a roster that has no human imposters?  It all makes sense now!  Actually now I think I must be doing something wrong.  I can’t seem to find a bot on our roster since season 29.  Is that right?  Well regardless, I’ll go all the way back to season 29 to talk about Sam Torenson, BOT, offensive guard.  Torenson was just about wrapping up an illustrious career as a running back when I made my way to the Philadelphia in Season 25.  He had set some really impressive running back records if I recall correctly.  But as I’m starting to understand, as players enter the twilight of their careers, they all seem to start packing on the pounds and getting into the trenches.  A running back-turned lineman put up a pedestrian 67 pancakes with 4 sacks allowed, not the greatest way to ride out into the sunset.  However, I’ll always remember Torenson as the player he really was – a brilliant running back who sacrificed for the team at the end of his career.

Wolfiebot is undoubtedly the MVP of server bots as it allows me to view my bank balance, but I recently started using a bot that is in the KCC server to generate money. @Painted clued me into TweetShift a few weeks ago, but I've recently started using it gain a few hundred thousand dollars each week since I've started buying training for my new player. I rarely need to log onto Twitter itself anymore, as TweetShift allows me to send tweets directly from Discord. The only drawback is that I no longer see other user's tweets, but I have survived so far without seeing "GOAT TANK COMPLETELY CREATIVE AND NON SPAMMY TWEET" or Wordle results on a daily basis. Though this is how I use TweetShift on an individual basis, it is even better in a team locker room.  You can choose specific Twitter accounts (for players on the team, for example), and TweetShift will relay their tweets into a Discord channel so you can keep track of what your team members are saying on social media.

Not sure if you meant discord bot or bot on roster but we have a bot on our roster that deserves all the love 
So my hands down favorite bot and bot mvp of the ducks has to be eightducks. This season they are currently third in sacks so far. They also have 2 TFLs and a fumble and fumble recovery. They are definitely playing well above their rating and I love to see it. It’s even better to see because I am lined up on the other side of our D line. As the teams other defenses be end this is great to see. It really makes me feel like we are unstoppable the way they are performing. I remember when I first switched to DE and they had a stellar game I thought holy cow what attributes do they have upgraded that I don’t? I went and checked and I had more TPE dumped into every attribute. They are just that good. An over powered bot for sure and I’m very happy to have them on our squad. From clutch tackles in the redzone to momentum changing sacks. Eightducks really does it all. They are hands down the MVP of bots in the DSFL this season

If I had to pick my favorite bot, I would choose the Wolfie bot. The reason why I would choose the Wolfie bot is that it has been to most helpful bot since I’ve joined this league. This bot shows me tasks that I could complete or already have completed for some points. Not only that, but this bot also tells me how much I have in my bank account. Since joining two weeks ago, I had the challenge of catching up to the other players, so I had to try to complete as many tasks as I could. This is where the Wolfie bot came in very handy because it can keep me on track. Without this bot, I would have forgotten to do some tasks. In my first player's update, I was able to rack up 149 TPE, and I have to give thanks the Wolfie bot for that as I would forget to complete some tasks like my weekly predictions. (163 Words)

When you consider the performance of all bots in the league, there can be only one that is truly worthy of any consideration for Bot of the Season. You already know where I'm going with this: the legendary Defensive End from the Minnesota Grey Ducks, Eightducks In'Atrenchcoat.

Possibly a contender for not only Bot of the Season, but Grey Ducks MVP, Eightducks has played ten games this season, and posted an impressive stat line: 7 sacks and 28 tackles. What's that? These stats aren't leading the league? You don't think Eightducks is deserving? We need to speak to the other attributes which make Eightducks a valuable member of the roster.

I'm talking about the intangibles. Eightducks does the little things on and off the field that make the entire team better. Not many people know this, but he's actually solely responsible for doing all of the team's laundry. His enthusiasm is always appreciated in the locker room, too. Many tense rallying speeches at halftime have been punctuated with the echoing sound of Eightducks belting out an enthusiastic "QUACK QUACK QUACK" to get the team fired up for the second half.

Naysayers would have you believe that he's not a man at all, but a series of waterfowl stacked atop one another and wearing an outerwear garment: that's simply slander and undeserved character assassination.

I mean the obvious answer is wolfie Bot and you say otherwise you're just lying. The versatility, the information, the variety, wolfie Bot is clearly unmatched. This little bot is the best. You want stats on any player for season to date? He's got it. You want your bank balance? He's got it. You want to see how your fantasy team is doing? He's got it. You want to see the best fantasy players? He's got it. You want to see who is available to pick up in your fantasy group? He's got it. You want to see your recent bank transactions? He's got it. You want to see what PTs you have done recently? He's got it. You want to see a dashboard with all time ISFL stats? He's got it. Like seriously, this bot can do anything except cook you breakfast. After hearing all that, how could you not pick wolfie Bot for MVP?

There is only one BOT that matters in the entire ISFL or DSFL, and that is the Defensive End for Tijuana, Vance Slattery. Slattery, named for possibly the greatest Defensive Tackle in Tijuana Luchadores history, Vance Slattery, has been an absolute monster this season, racking up 9 tackles, 1 TFL, and 2 sacks for the league-leading Luchadores. 

Now, you might look at those numbers and say, "Those numbers aren't impressive at all!" You know what? You would be 100% correct with that statement. But, what Slattery brings to the team goes well beyond what he does on the field. The BOT Vance Slattery serves as a reminder of happier time for all of Tijuana - a time when the Luchadores were unstoppable. A time when they won the Ultimini. Slattery is harkens back to a time when everything in the world was good and pure, and when Tijuana was known for being a dominant team that was capable of winning the big games.

That's why today I will start the campaign, #Slattery4BOTY to honor Vance Slattery and his legacy.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of LaQuacketron Duckmarriot the bot? I thought not. It's not a story the Head Office would tell you. LaQuacketron Duckmarriot was a linebacker bot for the Minnesota Grey Ducks, so powerful and so wise he could use the Sim to influence the code to create stats. He had such a knowledge of the dark side of the Sim that he could even keep his stats from dying. The Sim is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural. He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his stat abusing power. Which, eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately he taught his apprentice, LaQuacketron Duckmarriot II, everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in the offseason. Ironic. He could save his stats against human players, but not other bots.

But seriously, any time a max earner is routinely outproduced by a 50 TPE bot, I think that bot deserves some recognition.
