Luckily this didn't happen on the field for the entire world to see watching the game, but it happened my first day coming to the London Royals after being picked up off waivers joining the league after the trade deadline. For one the packet that they sent me, I forgot the front page with the address on my counter, so had to drive back to pick that up. Then when I got to the stadium I went to the wrong entrance and they thought I was there for one of the Fan Tours, which to be fair I didn't figure out until we were walking past the Locker Rooms. So then once I got to the right spot I forgot my ID out in the car so had to go back for that. Finally after getting everything situated and proving who I was for the security team, I got to enter and meet all of my teammates. Which comes to find out through all of this the whole entire time,,, I had a line of toilet paper following me... THE ENTIRE DAY!
Well, sadly this should be an easy PT for me. Our season consited of unlucky plays, dumb mistakes and just plain and simple no luck at all. A special game is the second game versus the Colorda Yeti's. The first half was alright, we were leading 24 - 10. A very solid start to the game, we were cruising and in control. Then the 2nd half starts.... and it starts of with a bang. First of all, a 3 and out for COL. Very solid defense, the punt to our side is returned but the return is nullified by a taunting penalty.
1st pass of the 2nd half, Interception Jimmy G to Boom Man! Pick six! we think we're still alright, 24-17. This is still doable. Next drive Gimmy get's sacked and the drive dies. TD for COL, 24 - 24. Next play, Jimmy G, sack from the 25 yard line to the 15. Next play, you guessed it, Interception. This time it wasn't a Pick six tho! It still ended in a Touchdown :/
At the end of the third we catch a glimpse of hope which is yet sadly stopped with a fumble and then later an Interception. Everything looked like this game was going to go our way but in the end we sadly lost. A very bad loss. I guess this is how OCO felt last season :|
After not letting up any TDs in the last 2 seasons of college ball for the Bearcats, he expected to continue this amazing streak into the DSFL, however he was humbled very quickly in his first game in the prospect bowl.. In this game, he was lined up on the outside, manned up against Bot5, a robot meant to behave like a receiver, because there wasn't enough prospects to fill all positions on every team. After deeming the bot to be worse than any receiver he had faced in college, McAlister decided to take this game of the prospect bowl very lightly, that was before Bot5 did the cleanest double move that McAlister had seen so far, and burned him for a 37 yard TD, something Ace will always remember as his "Welcome to the DSFL" moment throughout his career. Since that moment, he has given up less TDs but still struggles like his ability to get better has been capped.
Well I remember one of the games a while back, maybe something like week six, seven or maybe eight. However, NOLA we’re up by 3 with about 40s left to go int he fourth. Then my player( Mark Goodhead) the number 1 CB for NOLA let a 70 yard dagger go in one swift olay on a 3 and long which totally flipped the feild from there goal line to within striking distance of the NOLA TD zone.
In the end they did end up scoring a TD and thus we lost that particular game.
The biggest issue with this type of play, is that this happened several time throughout the season. That last key play, down to one slip of concentration can very easily result in the loss of the game and thus put to waste 60 hard minutiae of physically demanding work. Hopefully these lapses in contraction will be gone for the next season.
